interactive brokers is showing an increase in available shares to short by 200k. Its currently at 350k. Yesterday's available borrow was only 150k. If it were the end of the world, you would expect there to be no shares to borrow? Anyhow, just an observation.

Good observation. We will have a better picture of the SP trend next week due to squaring off of options today....

now up to 450k shares available to short. either someone is covering or letting up enough steam to make a short push for $6 later today.

It has now come down to 100k.

Until 20F is filed and independent audit results are out, there is really no reason for the stock to go up, even at this depressed level. Every pop will be faded/shorted. I'm guessing that's what happened today.

Did receive an email from Matt today, doesn't really say much, take it FWIW

We are all working and doing all we can. We know that completing the independent investigation and then having the auditors complete their annual audit is the most important thing. We are doing everything we can do complete this as soon as possible.

Regards,

Don't disagree with him. It all boils down to timing, "soon" can't come soon enough...

can't they just say sth like within a week or within one month or whatever time? even though mgmt's creditibility is shrinking, it sounds more comforting than "as soon as possible".

JS....

Does that message imply that the internal investigation from DT and Shearman is not done?  We are getting close to 7 months of "investigation."  Was that note from Matt a reply to an email from you?  Very important for retail longs is that none of the 13G filers have sold after the missed deadline and maintain their thesis.  One would have to think that management is keeping the large holders up to date on the process as none have bailed.  It's one thing to keep retail in the dark, but institutional investors don't go for it.

It's a reply from my email asking them what the company is doing to stabilize the stock price.

I don't want to read too much into the email as to what is or isn't done. For all I know, PwC is waiting for the last item from the IA to be finished and signing 20F. What I do know is Omar Khan on 4/10 had thought that the thing would be done by 4/30, we are now 19 days past that on a process that began last Oct. So, it has to be winding down(the market won't wait). Plus, there are various reports on 5/15 that ppl spoke to Kim Titus who said the company was "literally days" away from filing and ppl spoke to Matt who said the company was at the "goal line". Obviously, the company doesn't have a good record in guiding time line, but take that for what it's worth.

Have you not realized that the time is not in NQ's control? In terms of giving more details to the public, they are just legally not allowed. I'm not sure if you've read this 'They published the PR that legal would allow--with no time frame and no reiteration of the April 30 release. It was the only release they could get approval to publish and even that release took hours of negotiation.'

NQ management is in a tough situation as they have to keep quiet. Inexperience have made the matter worse. However Muddy waters would not have picked them if they are very experienced with this.

what law says they can't give more details on time and have to be quiet?
