Efi, you are much smarter than I am, but the fact that Sir Richard Chandler has jumped onboard should send a signal that he thinks this "marriage" is still on. He's not Soros, but the fact that he grabbed these shares right now should be taken as a bit bullish

Palmstein, I must disagree with you statement, us Canadians aren't smarter, especially in the winter as the makes our brains think slower.
I am glad you confirmed my suspicions though about the bullish news of this filing. I was leaning that way too given that Sir RC has some pretty good contacts in EWC which would mean that he would most likely be allowed the occasional phone call to Phil.

Interesting that the filing says the "Date of Event Which Requires Filing of this Statement 24 February 2012". That was ten days ago, and he files it today. Anyone know for sure whether 10 days is the limit as far as days after you cross the 5% threshold that you must report?

Not sure about that Trans; Soros filed his 13G on Feb 10th with a Feb 8th day as the date of the action requiring the 13G filing. But if you look at the charts, on Feb 14th we had a 1.5 million share volume day, then it tailed off some before picking up the last 3 trading days last week, so if this was part of that story we heard that Soros sold a block of shares to Goldman and JPM was accumulating shares for "someone", it could be he was buying that block. I'm sure we'll never know unless Sir Richard shows up at the AGM and we can ask him.

My guess is that someone GS took the soros stock in, and pedaled it out again. althought I saw one filing notice that said 2/7 was the dateof the soros filing. But believe this is the same stock floating around..gotcha
