Growing on instinct: Mohammed Al Barwani - seabedmining - 05-23-2015
very interesting story and hopefully he is again right: www.arabianbusiness.com/growing-on-instinct-mohammed-al-barwani-593556.html
The next big industry, Al Barwani says, will be seafloor mining. The company has a 28 percent share in Nautilus Minerals, an industry giant, which he says will become the first company in the world to be mining for gold, nickel, copper and zinc two or three kilometres under the sea in Papua New Guinea. Al Barwani says there has been significant investment to date with a 240-metre ship being built in China, and robots “bigger than any earth-moving machinery” being built in Newcastle that will carry out the mining. “Nautilus is tomorrow’s company and I have no doubt that the first day that we produce the first tonne of gold or copper, that share price will go through the roof,” he says, adding that he expects to be producing three years from now. The other interesting point is that he is basically saying Nautilus will be a "show me" stock all the way until the first tonne of product is sold. Given this entirely new field, and his expertise and experience, he may just be right. Looking forward to blowing the roof off with the stock price RE: Growing on instinct: Mohammed Al Barwani - seabedmining - 05-24-2015 don't take "show me" by word - until then, there should be a nice ramp up to... ??? the other question is: where is the roof? family home or skyscraper? Good question. What would be a good guess for the roof? RE: Growing on instinct: Mohammed Al Barwani - lorcan458 - 05-27-2015

Nautilus has scouted huge areas of the Pacific for the richest deposits and is already well into negotiations with those governments. Once the first ship and its equipment has been proven, slight improvements will be made and ships 2, 3, and 4 should be right around the corner. I don't know what the roof is, but if it hits $40 a share, I'm free to retire. However, it could go much, much higher than that based on the value of the deposits in areas they've already tested. RE: Growing on instinct: Mohammed Al Barwani - seabedmining - 05-27-2015
a new maiden resource from the actual exploration would be nice - same numbers like solwara 1 but triple size agree - they need 3-4 ships just for the actual deposits - more and different ones for the nodules
when this hits double diggits i will start thinking about retirement - when it hits your numbers i'm already travelling around the world, checking the best dive sites (many of them are in png) and playing pool billiard tournaments RE: Growing on instinct: Mohammed Al Barwani - Seanncn - 05-28-2015 Nice comments. Retirement and relaxation sure sound nice. I am going to take a wild guess. You all know I love to speculate in my yahoo comments. So according to this article http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2013/13/130201-underwater-mining-gold-precious-metals-oceans-environment/ . The Seafloor mining industry is worth $150,000,000,000,000 ($150 Trillion). Say we capture 1% of the market valued $1,500,000,000,000 ($1.5 Trillion) in 6 years to date. Blowing the roof off in my mind would be $1.5 Trillion divided by 445 Million shares. Correct me if I am wrong but would't that come out to be $3,370 a share? RE: Growing on instinct: Mohammed Al Barwani - Seanncn - 05-28-2015 Apple? Google? Tesla? Which Will Be The First To Reach A $1 Trillion Market Cap? Are there any odds makers on this board? I would sure like to know the odds of that happening. RE: Growing on instinct: Mohammed Al Barwani - Chrispy - 05-28-2015

I love the way you guys think! RE: Growing on instinct: Mohammed Al Barwani - maui4marko - 05-30-2015 Based on the official resource estimate for Sol1 (including Sol12) here is the math to determine the "theoretical" share price at first ore:
So my definition of "roof" at this time is between $17 and $21 per share, depending of PNG opts in for the additional 15%. Of course, it's entirely possible that the PE multiple will surge well past 12.5, but if so that'll only be frosting on the very rich cake. Additionally, with metals prices at generational lows and junior miners all but left for dead by the market, the price surge could easily hit $40. And please double check my math so Monk won't accuse me of pumping! |
