RE: Oil Search may need to lift InterOil offer 10pc - Putncalls - 07-12-2016 OSH stock has growth potential. XOM and TOT go with the flow. RE: Oil Search may need to lift InterOil offer 10pc - Crippsfl - 07-12-2016

Not excited about investing in an Austraiian company in their market dealing with a foreign exchange rate. Also am not sure how the IRS is going to treat the CVR payment. I, personally, would be much happier dealing with Exxon buying it. I trust Botten about as far as I trust Hession. Birds of a feather working to screw IOC investors. At least if Exxon were to buy us and set up a future payment based on the resource estimate, it would be in their interest for it to be as large as possible since Total has to pay them. Oil Search would be tickled to tell us "Oh Well, we have decided it is only 7 tcfe, So sorry, here is your $6/share, Thank you very much. Now please believe that we will treat your NEW investment with with care in the future." i don't think so. RE: Oil Search may need to lift InterOil offer 10pc - Putncalls - 07-12-2016 Is OSH going to conveniently put fewer reserves on the books than it owns? Those reserves become collateral. RE: Oil Search may need to lift InterOil offer 10pc - Stavros - 07-12-2016 Putz: since you like OSH so much, all you have to do is sell your new XOM shares and buy OSH. If we all get OSH shares thrust upon us, the share price will drop like a rock when 300 million shares are dumped on day 2 RE: Oil Search may need to lift InterOil offer 10pc - Putncalls - 07-12-2016 I have an IOC basis problem and that biases my opinion. Don't get me wrong. More is still better. My other bias is the growth potential for Papua LNG. There aren't a lot of other nice growth stories to choose from these days. RE: Oil Search may need to lift InterOil offer 10pc - AU74 - 07-12-2016 This story makes no sense. Why would Exxon offer such a small premuim as "up to 10%"? Anyone would assume OSH and TOT could find a way to match that, so why even bother? Also why does the story imply that simply matching Exxon would fly as if it were equal, given the issues trading the CVRs and ADRs? Makes much more sense, to me, that the leakers were trying to imply that OSH would need to match Exxon's offer, plus "up to 10%" to cover the trading issues an OSH deal presents to US-based investors and funds. Wishful thinking, I know. RE: Oil Search may need to lift InterOil offer 10pc - Stavros - 07-12-2016

Wishful thinking, I know. Makes me think this is another in the long series of feeble Paid News "Articles" planted by Peter Botten Tail and his sidekick Phatprik Pouyanne. They want IOC Shareholder Schmucks like us to vote YES to a small premium offered up in response to a Superior Proposal from XOM et al. My answer to the Two Pee Pee's: NOOOOOOOOOO RE: Oil Search may need to lift InterOil offer 10pc - jft310 - 07-12-2016 Both AFR and The Australian have several sources saying Exxon had bid $3 Billion US . Why people don't believe the published leaks makes no sense . AFR is just like the WSJ so they fully vet a story before publishing their stories . that's why they can charge $275 a year for a subscription . Further the press identified JPMorgan as representing Exxon , as of 6-30 JP owned over 3 million shares of IOC. They JP want a robust price for their IOC investment . The gag order prevents public discussion of deal details . I can say 100 percent Exxon deal is robust . They want this over and they get Total to pay them several Billion dollars from the IOC SPA to lower their price . Therefore we see a Total bid in time. These things take time as in months . Today just vote down this stupid Oil Search deal . RE: Oil Search may need to lift InterOil offer 10pc - ArtM72 - 07-12-2016 That Pavel call with Botten tomorrow might be interesting. More likely vacuous. |
