TEUM is down as much as TWLO (and it's supposed to be much more volatile). Not terribly worrying, unless one is investing with margin (very dangerous) and has overloaded on TEUM, or for short-term traders. RE: Can't be held down for long - blarneyT - 03-05-2019 Hello, new guy here to TEUM, stock and the forum. And investing. While I"m not happy with the dip I"m not too concened, but I'm wondering whether I should buy before the ER on Friday or wait and see? Any thoughts? See how it goes till Fri and buy at the deeppest dip? Thanks for this knowledge base. RE: Can't be held down for long - admin - 03-05-2019 Hello Blarny, welcome aboard. It depends a little bit what your time horizon is. We have a fairly long time horizon, that is, if the story doesn't change fundamentally we tend to stay in the name, as we can see a path to double digit share prices if the company keeps executing the way it does. Why not do both a little, build a first position, and then add on dips. The stock is unlikely to go up in a straight line (although since December it more or less has done exactly that). On the other hand, these dips are almost immediately bought, at least so far. We think there is still quite a bit of money on the sidelines for this name as it's still not a widely known company. If the share price gets above $5 it's likely to attract more institutional investors as well.
RE: Can't be held down for long - admin - 03-05-2019 Yes, earnings are a week from now and with the backlog that keep accumulating, I'm particularly interested in their 2019 guidance. If we get confirmation of what they argued in their presentation to investors when they announced the iPass acquisition, which is $150M or so, then a lot of the analysts are waaay to low with their 2019 estimates and this thing could be fun. RE: Can't be held down for long - admin - 03-06-2019 Yes, but we'll get some kind of updated 2019 outlook on March 12 already, since the backlog provides a significant amount of visibility. Given how that backlog has exploded, that 2019 outlook is likely to be rather sunny.. RE: Can't be held down for long - admin - 03-06-2019 We did pull the trigger for the SHU portfolio: Waiting for that dip to $3.40 that might never come.. RE: Can't be held down for long - admin - 03-06-2019 We had an earlier position at a lower price ($2.53 if I remember correctly), was waiting for a pullback to roughly $3.40 but that might never happen. More importantly, the bigger picture, which is they added 20 new customers in just February, which should be low season and this increases the amount of customers by over 20%. Bigger picture is that they are raking in new customers and backlog and we're not buying for next week or next month.. RE: Can't be held down for long - stpioc - 03-06-2019 Been looking here, pretty impressive stuff. What I particularly like is what you argued in another post, that the company is basically adding customers, hooking them up and then collecting the fees according to usage, or something to that effect. You showed how revenue per employee had risen dramatically in a few quarters in 2018, that is, they doubled their revenues from Q1 to Q3 with roughly the same amount of employees? Thanks. Exactly 1yr later, last Friday the stock hit $70+. Don't get me wrong, the $600 was nice but that extra $147,000 would have been better. Yea, that hurts. TNDM is actually a stock we also covered, and indeed that had a crazy run. This is exactly the reason why we're adding now, rather than waiting for that big pullback to $3.40 that might not come. Our view is that it's going to go significantly higher by next year anyway, so not trying to be penny wise, pound foolish here.. |
