RE: Legal Nature of the Papua New Guinea Petroleum Arrangement - Petrovale - 05-11-2013

No worries, JFT. We're in touch with both IOC's management and external parties on a daily basis. We do this to advance our investments and to check the factual validity of investor opinions, such as those expressed on this board. As soon as the believes and opinions of one or two persons come to dominate the discussions, and different opinions are not tolerated or result in name calling, the utility of the forum is quickly reduced to zero. That's a real shame.

I have talked to WA and another Senior IOC exec about the licenses and they have zero concerns about extensions. A history lesson will help you understand. These same Super Majors had the IOC licenses and did nada as in nothing with them. The PNG govt pulled those licenses from these same Super Majors and gave them to IOC. Since that gift IOC has spent over $500 million dollars on those licenses. And has found 10 t's of NG and liquids and the majors found nada as in nothing. IOC is viewed as a local company by the govt as they employee over 800 local PNGers. IOC will get what it wants as far as licenses. They will have to use the big boys to build their LNG . Ok all in all a HUGE win. Instead of opinions one might email WA and get a CC and ask him directly about this as I have done. The shorts want the longs to worry about this and well if do you need to ok but you might pull your head out of the sand and get direct answers. Not Short BULL!! There is nothing wrong and as the leaked stories state IOC has a literal bidding war going on. Bids are going up as the IBers pit one vs another.PRE paid $3.85 per mcf .Thats a hint!!! The discounted present value per Morgan Stanley is $2.65 using reasonable discount rates. Not sure see the Morgan report posted in these pages. Geez guys check things out to protect your investment. Please. Ask the man or freak out your call!!!

JFT..did PRE pay 3.85$ ?...I thought that was 2.85$?...

Whether you like Tree's style or not, there is no denying that he is a pitbull at doing DD.

I wonder how many people actually read through the link that he posted (I haven't yet, I need a block of undisturbed time) to understand how the information applies to the project agreement?

I also wonder if people realize how much time it takes to find this material, read through it and understand it, and then donate the interpretation to community for the benefit of everyone.

I am fairly certain disagreement isn't the issue but disagreement with doing any homework is difficult to swallow.

I would like to thank everyone who donates their time to share facts on this site.

p.s.  I also wonder how much the emotional rollercoaster of options affects ones perception of what value a post provides?

They paid $3.85 future value. Needs to be discounted. Morgan used if I remember right a 12% discount rate but I may be off on that. It was published in a Morgan report the rate paid and the discount math. That report is on this website I assure ya.

I have a friend who uses margin and thats not your friend with an IOC and its current volatility, And he blames IOC mgt for his near margin call. LOL fellow.

From memory, but I think they paid $2.85 or $3.85, depending on whether the gas was counted as resource or reserve (or perhaps the difference was between proven and probable, like I said, this is from memory, so...)

Rest assured I don't worry about the uninformed bitter Duthman's investments or the CAC's thinking, hoping that his May and June calls are good.  BTW, since I straightened this out in this post we're up a couple bucks.  you should be thanking me.

The fact that one would think they deserve some credit for the stock being up $2 today because of one of their posts (a post that just repeated an "opinion" that had already been stated...several other times...on several other threads...over several days) tells a lot.

CAC this too rich. Thanks for the belly laugh. As you actually believed my sarcasm that my post had anything to do with pps action proves you are a blinded prejudiced guy. My post can enlighten those that bother reading the link maybe but never effect pps. You worry about an expiring PA. IOC has rights and a cooperative govt has obligations to perform per law to assist IOC as IOC meets obligation. This link explains that. I doubt you read it. I don't care. You can't make a donkey drink the water but maybe others will.  Maybe knowledge by more shareholders will help make better longs.

I know you and the other source driven Investors that play options rather than do the heavy work of DD on this stock better than you know me. Problem with sources is they are wrong all the time. Right KF and SK?  DD trumps sources.  Have you noticed that those heavy DD posters do not whine?  It's my experience the harder you work following IOC the more confident you become. An no, it's not blind allegiance to management either.

So, I will keep doing my work and sharing what I find. It may make a difference and I know it has.

The goal is to keep it real and some opinions will align better with reality.  Those opinions always have supporting documentation called DD.

I would very much appreciate it if we can just discuss issues without making it personal. There is nothing to be gained, and a great deal to be lost by making things personal. Thanks.
