Hession must really be wowing them on the road trip. $68 to $58.

You have to give him some credit though, if Mulacek dragged out the drilling results this long the stock would be $30.

RE: 2 days away - Libtardius Maximus - 07-10-2014

I heard a few BOD's are sashaying around London earlier this week but nothing about Hession being there.

I'm hoping that this is their last trip to the trough.

Just assumed, perhaps incorrectly, that he would be there.

Mulacek didn't seem to have this many unexpected problems with his wells.  Of course, Mulacek had a construction division (which has since been axed by MH) that likely provided significant support to the drilling programs.  The way I figure, the probability of all three wells missing Hession's P50 times is about 0.125 or 1 in 8.  It appears pretty clear the giants of expertise brought in by Hession have been on a pretty steep learning curve... at least I hope so.

Somehow I always find myself thinking back to all the money people must have lost as Hession led the doomed to fail Browse project and how that reputation could still be following Hession around as he tries to promote IOC.  Woodside's committment to Leviathon during Hession's tenure certainly hasn't ended well either, not that Hession or any of his current team were involved in that muddled mess.

RE: 2 days away - Libtardius Maximus - 07-10-2014

Color me crazy but I think Hession and IOC management are slow walking the well results for a reason that will reveal itself soon. Too many IOC folks from Hession on down to IR sounding like parrots to me. The safety card trumps all, with shale no one will argue about as culprit.

In the interim, the downstream business gets sold 6 days after AGM. One would guess shareholders would have liked some face time to discuss with management but no. All anyone wanted to know about was drilling progress/status/results and got nowhere. The results wind up being a poo flinging contest between shareholders on this site.

Loose lips sink ships sort of mindset is the new IOC under Hession and don't expect it to change anytime soon UNTIL the OSH situation is finalized.

Yes that is interesting! Once settled they can take this to market.

Don't forget that each new "outcome" somehow manages to bring with it negative market sentiment.  The resolution with OSH is yet another to come.  Other than it being ended I don't see how it can be viewed as a positive for IOC.  Anyone else's thoughts.  This seems like a heads I win tails you lose situation.

I can think of a big one. EA gas goes to PNG LNG for trains 3 and 4.

yeah that would need to be all E/A gas.  Wouldn't want OSH to take their share of the gas "in kind" as most partner agreements allow.  Then they might opt out of the Total plant.   Very bad outcome
