RE: Am I confused? - jdeo1969 - 05-25-2016

If this is such a bad deal and oil search is getting away with murder, isn't the complaining more about getting paid now ( and believe me, I understand and want that after 7 years of owning the stock) than the deal itself? Because it seems we are simply transferring all of this upside to another company at this point. Long term that should be good for we shareholders correct? Its a transfer not a buyout. We are essentially being traded to another team who clearly has a better manager. I'm just trying to understand why that's bad other than not cashing in now, which again I completely understand.

Percentage wise there was probably more upside with IOC than OSH. Instead of a 20% per year return from Papua LNG with IOC, OSH will probably return 15. The CVR becomes a bit of an upside down wild card though.

RE: Am I confused? - Stavros - 05-25-2016

It's bad Putz because:

1. The percentage of OSH given to IOC shareholders is too low ===> Needs to be increased from 8.05 OSH shares per share of IOC
2. The CVR payment to IOC shareholders is $0.77 per mcfe above the level of 6.2 Tcfe ===> Needs to be increased

Vote no you stop this deal . Forced them to revise the deal more in our favor . They are NOT going to walk away .
It's a done deal after our vote not now . Want to see what we are really worth ??file that class action law suite for breach and then Hession does not get paid and we know our value . Starts with no on this deal .

RE: Am I confused? - jdeo1969 - 05-25-2016

I'm voting no, I just want to understand why its not right. I agree we are not being given all of the infomation we deserve.

How does that work when OSH Board chairman says OSH is still up for sale?  Nothing like being subjected to another sale at the bottom of the market, thereby further diluting IOC's vanishing interests

Stand firm.  If the CEO of TOT says Certification by the end of 2016 I'd rather take his word than Botten's or Hessions. His stake in keeping PNG happy ...ergo Papua LNG construction on a timeline...is a lot bigger than either of the other two yokels.

This agreement has us giving away two thirds of all of IOC's interests so that OSH can afford to buy into the second plant..  The question remains: if this deal doesn't go through does OSH still remain viable?  PNG's investment in OSH doesn't look all that good which could be problematic for O'Neill, but Total's committment to FEED, FID and beyond with early construction activities ongoing should have real political value.

Its a bad deal imo because too much of it is future related and the only people that get paid for futures are stockbrokers and in this case Hession and his posse.Too many things can happen that can go wrong, we are being sold on OSH stock appreciation. What happens if it goes the other way? And then there is the certification between OSH and Civelli. Botten is on record saying there is 5T's and Hession says there is enough for two trains. Will we know the numbers before we are to vote? It seems to me the July 16 vote date matters. I want to know what's in the hole that we are supposed to have known for the last 7 years before I bet and it is a bet on A7. This all becomes moot if we get good news on or before AGM. Given Hession's history I don't expect it. What has taking his word for it done for us for the past 2.5 years?

This deal has too many unkonwns for me.

Hession said in the CC with Pavel the deal would take PNG from 2 trains to 5.  But then Hession can be counted on to say most anything to justify what he must know to be a real screwing of IOC.  That's what his Board was set up for him to accomplish.  Was it my imagination that after the CC with Pavel Hession was a bit shaken?

I thought Hession was too rehearsed. I heard someone whispering stuff to him when he was challenged. This won't pass the smell test when confronted with a room full of shareholders at the AGM.
