RE: InterOil Makes New Offer To Kickstart PNG Gas Plan - TxPm - 10-17-2012 Palm, why do you think IOC would care? Obviously all of the bidders are aware of this I would assume? Clearly the market " Doesn't Care" or is being manipulated not to care...if PNG really is going to pay even close to market price for the assets I don't understand why it's a bad thing at all? RE: InterOil Makes New Offer To Kickstart PNG Gas Plan - bertl05 - 10-17-2012 As an investor in IOC, I'd much prefer to sell to a legitimate corporate entity in a fair transaction. On a level playing field. Given the history of animosity between IOC and Duma et al., this transaction smacks of strong arming, wether it is or isn't. "sure we will grant you the PDL...if you.....". The market seems to be quite unimpressed as well. I too think IOC is unhappy to have had this leaked at this stage. It certainly cant help in any way. I meant the way it is manipulated. Thirty years investing and this is the pinacle of manipulation, just stunned again and again how they drag the share price around. Probably shouldn't be after almost 4 years. RE: InterOil Makes New Offer To Kickstart PNG Gas Plan - freddiekingman - 10-17-2012 ellerslick... try to buy some today..the joke could be the best you've ever seen in a couple of weeks..maybe sooner. good luck ! I bought some more this morning at $76 before the dive, probably explains my outburst. God give me patience and give it to me now.

Tx, They would care because this was another leak likely only to hurt pps; very frustrating to them when they work as hard as they do to do things right. Very similar to the partial report leak of the Gaffney report last year that only showed the part that said 6ts, but not the part that said with more drilling they could raise their estimates. I said earlier and I'm more convinced now after seeing the activity that this was the "plan" we heard was coming a couple of weeks ago. That the shorts were up to something very dirty to try and push pps down. I would bet most anything that they knew the loan announcement was coming today and held onto that letter to leak to the WSJ for a time like this. Was it bad news? Absolutely not, but when massive selling after a negative article is posted happens they try to create a general sell-off. It won't work. Maybe for this short term, but LT all is very good IMHO. This anymore is expected and as Lib says, well could be the precursor of their covering. They know the deals are coming, they hoped they loan would not happen (especially for $100 million), and now success is inevitable. Just amazing that this happens. But a while ago I wrote to a research group who had come out with a report on the credit crash and the shorting of banks. I asked them if they would be interested in looking at a classic case of stock manipulation and gave them examples of IOC situations. They said they would be interested and to send them what I (and others) have showing this. Then he said, "The sad thing is this is not unusual at all. It happens far more than people realize." It happened again today. I'm not so sure about that. It would be nice to think that this proposed arrangement with the PNG govt is consistent with other SD negotiating positions, but if it isn't, and if the other bidder(s) have not been apprised of IOC's proposals to the govt, then this leak could be quite troublesome. Phil/Henry have always seemed to prefer to go it alone, not with a major or similar consortium, and this news suggests they may still be focused on trying to do that even while also negotiating with at least JFK and maybe others too. Someone noted this leak fits with the PNG Industry News story from 9/19, which was denied by IOC mgmt, according to jft (if my memory serves me right). Anyone heard any comment from IOC today? |
