- jft310 - 03-13-2012 Pet we can admit we will get more info Monday , more condensates which is oil is great, if your estimate is correct we have a double in assets , no complaints from us - trans - 03-13-2012 sageo, I'm sure peteng will answer this, but the initial tests are thru drill pipe? and show much lower results, cause its not a meaningful test, like later. so don't be disappointed, but go back to co website and see initial readings on previous wells on elk and ant. you'll get similar here. - petrengr1 - 03-14-2012 When we do a drill stem test we run some tools into the hole below a packer. These tools will include a mechanism that allows the opening and closing of a valve below the packer. There will also be at least two bottom hole pressure recording devices. Usually there will be a bottom hole choke that will restrict the flow. At the surface they will probably have a separator that will separate the gas from the liquids and a measurement will be made for both the liquids and gas. At a well site location it is not feasible to separate the gas and liquid and measure both when we have the full flow tests up 5” or 7” tubing like we did at Elk and Antelope. In those extremely high flow rate tests the volume is just estimated by the pressure and choke size. In order to get some information about the reservoir, which comes from the bottom hole pressure recording devices and the flow measurements, they will use the DST (drill stem test) method. The flow rate will be restricted by the bottom hole choke, the drill pipe size and the size of the test equipment at the surface. I would expect the “restricted” flow rate to be between 10 and 15 MMCFD. I do not expect very much drawdown of the bottom hole pressure during this restricted test, meaning the flowing bottom hole pressure should not be much different than the reservoir pressure (shut-in bottom hole pressure). The amount of this draw down and the flow rate give us a way to calculate the permeability and the absolute open flow capacity. I expect this first test to be performed with the packer set in the bottom of the casing so we will not have to worry about packer leaks and packer failures. So the above persons numbers are for the container size and not the amount of assets in that container. Closures are never full and 1/2 full would be terrific. I think Pet understood all of this.But to a non Pet person it was confusing.Today Phil stated they thought T-2 was larger then E/A and that referred to the NG assets.If one uses the GCA numbers of 6 T's then T-s would be 7 T-s for perspective. The GCA report stated with two more wells they though E/A would have 8T's recoverable plus so adjust accordingly for T-2.
