This has been discussed and beaten to death ad infinitum, and your repetitious crap is totally useless, or worse, at this point. I really have to wonder, what is your objective?
For the record so that I am not accused of being a short basher, I have owned IOC for over 10 years. Discussion of the delays in certification are 100% legitimate in my opinion.
There are a lot of large holders like American Funds that are deep under water and unlike individuls like us on this board, these fund managers have to account to shareholders, bosses etc.
They can take a long term view of a stock, but they also have to look at how long is the time frame for rebound to occur. They may say IOC is dead money for too long and bail. Maybe they come back, Maybe they do not. So delays do matter and effect the stock and the delay issue is a very legitimate issue in my opinion.
I recently e mailed Mr. Lynn asking his wheter there was any plan to talk to large shareholders like American Funds. His response was not what I wanted to hear and very lame in my opinion.
Just reiterated what was going on with drilling and the certification. That is not my point however.
My point is that we all have a right to discuss the certification delay issue without being flamed.
Flame awat Getit. You are a rude person in my opinion and need to stop your repeated attacks on others and questioning their motives.
There is a lot you do not seem to be aware of or understand. I have not questioned anyone's "right" to discuss the certification delay issue and previous reasons for it, and in fact have discussed it with various posters, ad infinitum as I pointed out. Try going back and reading some of it. At some point, however, enough is enough, and it becomes repetitious useless negativity for shareholders, especially complaining about it as if the reasons are a mystery and not previously given by management and fully discussed here. If you have read the discussions, can you think of anything to add? What do you think is to be gained from continuing complaint, whining, and repetition?
It is unbelievable, shocking to me that you would think you need to ask the Senior Vice President of Investor Relations "whether there was any plan to talk to large shareholders like American Funds", insulting not only his job performance but his very intelligence! He talks to us, and you are afraid he is not talking to American Funds, not to mention the face-to-face "road shows" they do for institutions we have all heard about?! Give him a break, and at least a little credit! He apparently thought you could benefit from some comments on the relevant topic, and you should be grateful he even answered you without further comment. I feel sure American Funds knows and understands more about the delays than most of us, is more accepting, and probably supports what management is currently doing, probably with growing excitement about the results to date and the potential outcome and effect on stock value in the coming year, with that being a MAJOR part of the NPVs and targets of ALL the analysts covering and recommending the stock.
There you go again.
Yes, he is truly a one-of-a-kind. The only one like him on SHU. Spoils rational discussion.

JFT,
You have stated many times certification has nothing to do with the price of oil. The delay's, lack of clarity as to when IOC will get paid is killing the stock. We are down 50% this quarter because InterOil has pushed back certification with no explanation. You can continue to be a cheerleader and wave you pom pom's that everything is great, but I feel every shareholder should let management know they will not accept any further delays.
I'm 100% with you on this Gator. This thread knocked the scab off a nasty wound. Hession's management of the drilling and certification program in PRL15 has been nothing short of disaster. It still is in IOC's PPLs. For someone whose mantra has been to "find, enable, develope, repeat" it's impossible to judge Hession's performance to date anything other than failed notwithstanding the view from anyone's weathervane.
Really, Art, I am NOT saying "everything is great", but "no explanation"? See the transcript of the last cc. Also, the appraisal testing results for Ant 4 and Ant 5 have been too spectacular to support biased opinions of "nothing short of disaster" and not "anything other than failed". Increasing the certification payment by $hundreds of millions, maybe even a billion dollars plus, is anything but "disaster" or "failure", as frustrating as taking longer than expected is. That will increase the value and success of this Company enormously regardless of the short-term stock price, which is down also in large part because of oil and LNG prices and the worst market correction in years, like other energy companies, many down more, not just from now-resolved rig and drilling problem delays and false statements of "no explanation" from people who apparently are not aware of or just don't like the explanations or don't think they are sufficient without offering evidence therefore. Are you going to "let management know" that you "will not accept ANY further delays", even for an additional half billion or billion dollars? Good luck! (Actually, bad luck!) Of course, I guess you can personally not accept it by selling your stock at these ridiculously low prices and staying out and moving on. Nothing personal.

IR told me that the A4 delay didn't matter because it was A5 that would provide the info needed for certification. Then they decided to drill A6 after A4ST1 was finished and further delay the payment into the middle of 2016 for no apparent reason. IOC has never given a reason why A6 is really needed.
Wrong. See the presentations and conference calls.

You cab repeat what IR/mgmt says and see that be incorrect time after time or reflect some reality from time to time. To not do so leaves many questions unanswered. If Cert keeps getting pushed back along with drilling schedules yet the Cert pmt has zippo to do with oil prices, yet we have a rig sitting ready to go, it begs some questions. Answers to which your pass-through posts do not provide.
I am well aware the cert payment has nothing to do with oil prices, which is obviously an extremely good thing accomplished by management, in case you did not know. How do you know "we have a rig sitting ready to go", repeating what IR/management says? What do you think should be done with it right now? Any other distorted or useless comments/accusations?
No, you are distorting reality enough for all of us Getit. You just don't realize it.
It does appear that items beyound "reality" are distorting.
