RE: Big bet June 17th options - jft310 - 05-11-2016 Interoil could sell that stream of payments from Total . The rumor and article mention the 36.5 percent still owned by Interoil no mention of the Total portion . That could happen for the right price selling the Total dollar stream. Why now ?? Is this real?? Today we know a lot more about size and connectivity of the assets and Oil Search has ordered 2 bankable appraisals due to be completed in June . That T number could drive this sell down . If oil Search wins the 36.5 percent bidding they would own about 59 percent of E/A. I doubt if Exxon or Total would not step up if a real offer is on the table . RE: Big bet June 17th options - Putncalls - 05-11-2016 Why sell now? Unless tree is correct and the T count is bit short? RE: Big bet June 17th options - Stavros - 05-11-2016 Tree has no clue on Tcfe's sitting in PRL 15, NONE WHATSOEVER It seems to me that what he has been posting is based purely on sour grapes and personal attacks against Mr. Mulacek. Two bad. RE: Big bet June 17th options - jft310 - 05-11-2016 Tree is very very smart alas even he doesn't know the Oil Search appraisal numbers . They are due in June . But I bet they have a pretty fair estimate right now and Oil Search paid for those numbers and would have access to those preliminary numbers . Thus the rumors about a buyout of what Interoil owns the 36.5 percent on Concerned Interoil . RE: Big bet June 17th options - jft310 - 05-11-2016 Phil was a mixed bag . Great entrepreneur but couldn't deliver the deal when required and was fired . Hession is by far the better business man . Hession and crew came on board at $85 a share only a silly person would think they would destroy value and sell cheap . Stavros approach of adding up the parts is the right approach . We can see Interoil's 36 percent , the Total sell down dollars , TBR and the other 30 prospects . Each has its own value . Must add them up for proper estimates . At a $10 billion dollar plant build price those assets are quite valuable . To sell it all requires a shareholder vote . Selling pieces like our 36.5 percent ownership does not require a shareholder vote . RE: Big bet June 17th options - Putncalls - 05-11-2016 That 36.5 "piece" would have to raise some eyebrows? RE: Big bet June 17th options - jft310 - 05-11-2016 Puts / spot on comment !!!With the cost to build this plant would print money . Even if oil is $60-70. RE: Big bet June 17th options - Indoreservoir - 05-11-2016 Strange how it appears all are ignoring GLJ 10.2 TCF 2C number recently headlined. My guess, and it truly is a guess, is that GLJ was quite careful with this number as outside agencies are now going to have comparison from world-class certifiers, and GLJ would want to be in that league with a good number verified by the world-class certifiers. Like all consultants, they want and need new business - this is their time to shine. The additional info from appraisal would clearly have firmed-up their estimates and reduced uncertainty. Might be wrong, of course, but my guess is the new numbers come in at 9-10 TCF 2C based on GLJ results, or maybe a bit higher if GLJ added an extra dose of conservatism to look a bit tougher. We'll see very soon. GLTAL |
