RE: Twas an analyst and investor trip this weekend - ebster123 - 10-02-2012 Correct, the risk of being bought out drops at that point. However, you have to get to that point without being bought out. There is time between now and then for someone to try to take a bite and try a bid. If it does not happen I would be surprised and questions why not? If the assets are real (and I have said for the past several years I believe in the assets) it would be crazy for no one to bid on the company. Darwinism at its finest. We will see... RE: Twas an analyst and investor trip this weekend - Spartina - 10-02-2012 Forgive me a simple question... what is anyone's best estimate for a pps hostile takeover price?? RE: Twas an analyst and investor trip this weekend - jft310 - 10-02-2012 Phil thinks more then $500 PPS. I don't think his 5 million shares can be sold into a deal for $500 PPS.The Top holders want IOC to develop the assets for long term growth. Would $200 PPS motivate some sure but would it be enough to get it done?????????I would bring on the offers and we can find out. That's the only way to know really. RE: Twas an analyst and investor trip this weekend - ebster123 - 10-02-2012 JFT, I agree with you statement. RE: Twas an analyst and investor trip this weekend - wapitidropiti - 10-03-2012 I also agree JFT. But can't fathom why no one has made a run at IOC. XOM could buy us with the petty cash fund. |
