There usually is a link in the email that you can click on and once you log in you can see what they were offering. 2 weeks ago it was only 5%/annum. What?!!! Are you crazy? Pay up fellas, we know these shorts are scraping for all they can find.

Schwab claims they typically wholesales their shares to the big investment banks. That is their reasoning/excuse for not offering the retail rate. At least that is what we have been told when we have complained about their offer rate in the past.

I've asked them about it also and ask what they are charging the borrower. Of course they won't disclose that and fumble around with an explanation of trying to justify the low rate they pay to the owner of the shares. $#@&!!% liars!!! Hohoho

Today Schwab states, "The return being paid on shares in the Lending program is being increased based on increased demand for shares". 40% bump from 5% to 7% for the lender.
