RE: Meanwhile Duma gives IOC 180 days "To prove worth" - ArtM72 - 08-06-2013 I guess the final word on this is good. Duma has Gulf leadership repeat his 180 day mantra this weekend for the media and the stock goes up almost 6 on 170% average volume. "Proving their worth" was an odd challenge/phrase to use. IOC has proved its worth by supplying petroleum products reliably to the PNG wholesale and retail markets for the past decade and found over 10Ts of gas in areas dismissed by previous explorers. I trust that Duma might be under a similar challenge. At least I hope so. RE: Meanwhile Duma gives IOC 180 days "To prove worth" - Palm - 08-06-2013 I really question this 180 day notice by Duma. Does the NEC support it, or has he done this on his own? My sense tells me the latter. With the recent editorial which exposed the rampant corruption at DPE it almost appears he has taken it upon himself to make this proclamation. As we have discussed, this could be one of his last "acts" as DPE Minister if he did this without first conferring with O'Neill/The NEC. Some of these recent articles say "The State" has given IOC 180 days to prove themselves, but it may have been just The Duma. Also the last statement regarding a detailed statement coming soon is from IOC. Duma is out of the loop and now goes to Kavo for support. A real Shell game me thinks. You mean "reneged"? Could get some people here upset Can someone clarify for me who Duma answers to? Is it O' Neil? Isn't his position a cabinet post provided by O' Neil or is it an independently elected position? Under what protective mantle does he speak on behalf of the nation of PNG? Is there nobody who can curb his clearly obvious graft infected position in regards to the future of PNG and it's underlying commodity assets? Any clarification of just how he might be extricated would be greatly appreciated. RE: Meanwhile Duma gives IOC 180 days "To prove worth" - calaban48 - 08-08-2013

RE: Meanwhile Duma gives IOC 180 days "To prove worth" - Paciottiman - 08-08-2013 Duma's party has 7 seats , not 11. From PNG Industrynews: Duma, who leads the seven-seat United Resources Party, said he was ready for the top job of PM during campaigning ahead of the 2012 election. RE: Meanwhile Duma gives IOC 180 days "To prove worth" - Paciottiman - 08-08-2013 Correction: Duma's party has 7 seats, not 10. I previously stated "not 11". Thank you but what would it take to remove him from his post? Will we have to wait for the next election? If so when is that? Maybe in 3 more years? This guy is certainly an unchecked nose bleed in the prgoress of the interests of the country on behalf of apparently his own personal interests and of those lurking in the shadows.
RE: Meanwhile Duma gives IOC 180 days "To prove worth" - Palm - 08-08-2013 Duma can be removed at any time by O'Neill, but like anything political it needs to be handled correctly. If this recent corruption talk at DPE is substantiated, O'Neill would have all he needs to make the move. The easiest would be if Duma were actually charged with corruption. He would not be allowed to serve as a Minister. RE: Meanwhile Duma gives IOC 180 days "To prove worth" - tarulestheday - 08-08-2013
