Very thought provoking article regarding the dynamics of gasoline surplus, seasonal refinery turnarounds coming this fall, and the potential impact on oil prices and thus the PPS of oil companies, especially XOM.

So if we lose this battle and the buyout by XOM succeeds, there may be a good chance that XOM shares are depressed in this September timeframe.  Since the offer is fixed at $45.00 per IOC share but paid in XOM shares, that could/should mean that we may be getting MORE XOM shares at a depressed price.  So at least in this case, lower oil prices are our friend.

But after that we all need to get out and drive a lot more to get rid of that huge gasoline surplus so oil can climb again!!!
