What they say today - jft310 - 09-21-2012

Blair Price story was a short plant story to get the price up and then short and cover and repeat.

Mitsui bid is $2 per mcf. With E/A 9 T's that 58% for IOC or $18 Billion  total resource or netted down more then $200 per share.

NEC approval as early as Sept 25th or within 2 weeks of that date.

I can never handicap the odds of the above just reporting.

Thanks for info jft; I told a couple of people yesterday I really doubted that we would hear anything today.  That story was mostly crap.  Funny thing about it is the Opposition Party of Yazoo (OPY, pronounced "Opie"Wink blame IOC for planting the story to drive up price when in fact it's the shorts that do this stuff to manipulate the price.  Just ain't right Paw!

$2/mmcf seems light but all agree that the Most important issue is getting this deal done to enable the freedom to pursue its future. If true, good deal.

Needless to say, such a deal would:

  • Remove almost all uncertainty from the stock
  • Value the company at a multiple of the stock price
  • Provide funding for monetization and accelerated exploration

More important than the exact price, I would say. $2/mcf is fine with me, it's 3x the present market valuation and that doesn't even include anything for T2. It's possible that the increased political stability and more friendly tone out of Duma has encouraged new bidders, so Mitsui (that is, JKM) might not be the winner...
