RE: 6 Bids-Land Based 4 Mtpa Trains x 3 - TxPm - 10-09-2012 "There are also understood to be uncertainties over the equity ownership of the gas." Any thoughts on this statement RE: 6 Bids-Land Based 4 Mtpa Trains x 3 - Getitrt2 - 10-09-2012 I would think that is referring to the pending final selection of a bidder and reaching the sell down/partnership deal. 'TxPm' pid='10928' datel Wrote:"There are also understood to be uncertainties over the equity ownership of the gas." Any thoughts on this statement That is a 'new' facet to these negotiations. Could be Gov't or landowners are trying to buy acquire a larger %, (we heard last week or so that PNG wanted 50% of the project) could be the equity partners like Civelli and minors are contesting IOC's ability to sell a stake and claw back interest from partners to bolster IOC's %. I do not think IOC's equity in gas ownership is at risk whatsoever. RE: 6 Bids-Land Based 4 Mtpa Trains x 3 - jft310 - 10-09-2012 OMG moment. In addition to Obama Must Go! RE: 6 Bids-Land Based 4 Mtpa Trains x 3 - Palm - 10-09-2012 This statement goes along with the statement from a while back that I keep raising. When they mentioned the Gas Agreement they also stated that "ownership" percentages are part of what's being negotiated. I think it's possible PNG wants a bigger piece of the pie; 30% or more. RE: 6 Bids-Land Based 4 Mtpa Trains x 3 - TxPm - 10-09-2012 Palm, do you think that if PNG negotiates a higher % they pay whatever the SM pays per mcf? RE: 6 Bids-Land Based 4 Mtpa Trains x 3 - Palm - 10-09-2012 That's the $10 billion question. I believe the Oil & Gas Act states that the government and LOs can elect "up to" 22.5% ownership and for that they must only pay back end loaded sunk costs. Since tat Act has not been changed, I would think that anything above the 22.5% must be at "market" and paid with normal terms for these projects. I've not reviewed the O&G Act specifically on this, but I believe these terms are some that IOC had input on as well as the royalty and tax rates. We ought to know soon. My gut says we have NEC approval by the 15th and for some reason I'm predicting by Wednesday. WAG RE: 6 Bids-Land Based 4 Mtpa Trains x 3 - jft310 - 10-09-2012 WA in London with RJ stated NEC approval anyday.Recorded Conference. Last Monday in the AM E. Calio told a group of clients verbally they expected NEC approval within two weeks. Fits with WA comments recorded in London. That was after the investor trip. Its fair to ask are they right this time.??One day soon they will be right . Is this it?? RE: 6 Bids-Land Based 4 Mtpa Trains x 3 - CesiumFormate - 10-09-2012 Tree, Don't you find it interesting that this came out after yesterday's close, and IOC did not do a press release on something they supposedly confirmed before open today? I would consider this information new, and material, requiring disclosure. I find this news exciting, but suspect when I don't see it backed up. CF |
