iluvioc gas an opinion for you to review. - jft310 - 11-18-2012 From Yahoo: There's a big game and IOC is hosting it. Several big players have already bought in. There is one player, China who wants another seat but IOC has said that they have all the seats sold. IOC will be selling the majority of E/A mostly to Japan and some to Korea.China is looking to buy all the LNG it can. The PNG is located in the neighborhood, has enough clean LNG to last several generations. So what does China do? They cut a deal with the PNG Govt. Here is several billion dollars. Push IOC to sell you 50% of E/A.. Settle for 40%. We will buy all you can supply..Oh, the PNG Govt will pay IOC the going rate for the asset. Shorts confuse local corruption with obeying Commonwealth laws which have teeth in the order of aid and other necessary things that the PNG needs from their Commonwealth brothers. Not to mention that not following the law is simply stupid and bad for PNG business.I don't think this is bad for IOC.The money simply comes from a different source. Maybe even better since what happens to IOC now has a more profound effect on the PNG. I don't know what effect this will have on the PPS but I think this is a positive not a negative. Many, many layers to the IOC onion. It takes patience and understanding. The boys know what their doing. RE: iluvioc gas an opinion for you to review. - TxPm - 11-18-2012 In the Morgan Stanley report from last week they specifically mentioned they thought She'll might from the Govt's 27.5% interest through their official role as Petromin's partner & that it would be on commercial terms RE: iluvioc gas an opinion for you to review. - admin - 11-18-2012 Well, when iluvioc speaks, I listen. Simple as that. Couldn't fathom that PNG would negotiate for another 27.5% without having a buyer lined up, that didn't make sense to me.. RE: iluvioc gas an opinion for you to review. - Putncalls - 11-19-2012 PNG in the NG resell business? Why not just buy direct from IOC? I think that Phil eluded to this extra 27.5% to be something that happens many years from now when PNG has the ability to consume more NG. RE: iluvioc gas an opinion for you to review. - Palm - 11-19-2012 Wise words from iluv as always. With Shell being designated as China's primary international developer of natural gas projects and Shell having an agreement with China to sell LNG, it makes sense. It will bring peace to the island and allow things to move forward quickly. Tuesday the budget will be presented and it is supposed to give details regarding infrastructure to be built in specific provinces. We may see something for Gulf Province.
