Structure of the Investment Bankers - kommonsents - 12-29-2012 Can anyone confirm how the participation of the Investment Bankers is structured? Do they all share equally in the fees/commissions generated by any SD or BO, or is it winner take all or something else? It seems that three IBs makes things a bit more complex and, depending on how it is structured, there could be conflicts of interests. If structured properly, it probably isn't such a problem. RE: Structure of the Investment Bankers - Palm - 12-29-2012 According to mgmt a while back they all get something, but the "winning" IB gets a bonus. RE: Structure of the Investment Bankers - Getitrt2 - 12-29-2012 I agree it's not winner take all. I also understand that they are working with the bidders geographically, MS for North America, UBS for Europe, and Macquarie for Asia. RE: Structure of the Investment Bankers - kommonsents - 12-29-2012 This all makes sense to me and if true is pretty much as I might have guessed. However, it also reinforces my thoughts that it may be the IBs that are creating the delays, trying to maneuver to their individual advantage for that added edge and financial reward. RE: Structure of the Investment Bankers - ArtM72 - 12-29-2012 Info presented above by Palm and Getit are exactly what I and several others heard from management...Colin if I recall correctly.. at the Spinaker Lounge the night before the AGM in Grand Rapids this past summer. |
