Geez who told you about these things.???

InterOil Completes Logging of the Antelope-3 Well and Provides an Update on its LNG Partnering in PNG       01/24 07:59 AM

PORT MORESBY, Papua New Guinea and HOUSTON, Jan. 24, 2013 /CNW/ - InterOil Corporation (IOC:$55.74,00$-2.62,00-4.49%) announced that it has completed the logging program at the Antelope-3 well in Papua New Guinea. As in the previous wells, conventional wireline logs (porosity, resistivity and sonic) were acquired in addition to formation imaging (FMI), vertical well bore seismic (VSP) and rotary sidewall coring conducted while under pressure. The formation evaluation by Schlumberger indicates an average porosity in the pay interval of 10.2 percent and a net to gross ratio of 66 percent. This compares favourably with the results from the Antelope-1 and Antelope-2 wells with average porosities of 8.8 and 13.1 percent respectively (see the table below). We believe these results indicate that the reservoir quality at the Antelope-3 location is of similar quality to the Antelope-1 and -2 wells, and fully support our reservoir model.

The forward program is to complete a final drill stem test (DST) over the open hole interval combined with production logging instrumentation to provide further dynamic reservoir characteristics and flow capacity.
Separately, InterOil (IOC:$55.74,00$-2.62,00-4.49%) announced that it has advised bidders with which the Company has been in discussions that the final binding bid solicitation period for the partnering process currently being undertaken will close on February 28, 2013. The InterOil Board of Directors intends to meet the Company's advisors during the first week of March 2013 for the purpose of evaluating bids received and selecting our partner(s) for the development of the Gulf LNG Project utilising gas from the Elk and Antelope fields in Papua New Guinea.

'final binding bid solicitation'

Sounds kinda final.  I just hope Flying J and Speedway don't leave the process like all the other SMs have.

RE: News from IOC - trans - 01-24-2013

otherwise called "drop dead" final....

Hey trans,  Since this part of the info IOC was sharing with inquiring investors yesterday was true, do you think the other part about 4 SMs bidding is true too?

RE: News from IOC - admin - 01-24-2013

Well, this should put the cat amongst the pigeons.. Smile

RE: News from IOC - trans - 01-24-2013

It's just my opinion, but I think minimum at least 2 SM's and a global utility. very good chance there is more. I'm actually more interested in what's going to happen to the stock after a final bid is accepted, meaning that is when IOC could really be in play and those who know what IOC has, try to get a piece of the action (IOC), and I believe it has to be very tempting for energy entities, especially with a focus on energy reserve growth and ideal markets. imo

RE: News from IOC - jft310 - 01-24-2013

If anyone thinks the losers will sit around and moan or not do anything I got a bridge for them. Mitsui deal valued IOC assets at $20 Billion. Selling for $3 Billion today. IOC can be bought for $400 a share I would think. The $20 Billion number is before Triceratops and Tuna and Wahoo. So the minimum is $20 Billion. Its gonna happen 100% for sure a total buyout! The longer they wait the higher the price. The question is wht happens with over 10 million shorts??? Ho Ho to them
