A short got covered at the end of the day - jft310 - 04-05-2013 Look at the tape while you can. A Margin dept covered a BAD bet on IOC. This is just the beginning. This explains all the whinners and IOC naysayers on the different Boards, FWIW IMHO. RE: A short got covered at the end of the day - jft310 - 04-05-2013 That was a 40,000 share BUY IN.. Ho Ho , More to come. RE: A short got covered at the end of the day - johnwgrant - 04-05-2013 Hmmm.... why would the person short be bought in today !?! Usually, the margin calls come when the stock price is moving against you ! I know from first-hand experience
RE: A short got covered at the end of the day - jft310 - 04-05-2013 Called a margin call and the delay is the number of days they gave you to cover. That spike to $76 got em several days ago. The trade was several dollars above the current price thats a BUY IN. RE: A short got covered at the end of the day - Libtardius Maximus - 04-05-2013 I agree with JFT, saw it as it happened. You folks a bit twitchy should review the last minute tape. Not sure about margin call though, but certain it was short related event.
