RE: InterOil founder unexpectedly quits - cybersssss - 04-23-2013 "InterOil chief financial officer Collin Visaggio confirmed to PNGIndustryNews.net that Mulacek’s retirement was a part of the process to bring in a strategic partner to operate the Elk-Antelope field. " RE: InterOil founder unexpectedly quits - ArtM72 - 04-23-2013 Sounds like acquisition of over 50% of the entire company by someone, thereby effectively usurping PM influence and authority. My first reaction is disappointment due to the loss of a great and tireless leader. RE: InterOil founder unexpectedly quits - kerekesc - 04-23-2013 Art, I tend to agree with you. This is exactly how I felt. However, I have confidence that Phil would only take decisions which are in the best interests of the shareholders....after all, he is one of the biggest! I am hoping for the best. RE: InterOil founder unexpectedly quits - ArtM72 - 04-23-2013 Projecting my own feelings onto PM I'd say Phil quit because Shell got the company. I wouldn't work for those bastards after what they did to IOC. I'd quit too. Whatever happened, Phil lost the motivation to lead (or was fired). Especially curious is the 7 day notice. That's almost an unbelievable timeframe. Regardless, I can't imagine we won't be hearing something very, very soon. RE: InterOil founder unexpectedly quits - johnwgrant - 04-23-2013 Question: Did Phil want to take a "lower" bid that kept InterOil in charge of Elk/Antelope ? Board said - sorry - high bidder wins !?!? RE: InterOil founder unexpectedly quits - cybersssss - 04-23-2013 This is rampant speculation on my part. I do not know Phil but from his actions in the past and what I have heard about him the only logical conclusion I can think of is that this is a prelude to a complete take over of IOC. IOC is his baby from the start...Why else would he leave and/or take a back seat?! If Phil stepping down was a contingency to just a sell down I do not think he would do it with all the potential in the Ts. JMH thoughts |
