Flinders #1 well - sageo - 04-25-2013 Good AM guys. Pet - (or anyone else) - Would you have access to a map showing the location of the Flinders well in the gulf that Oil Search is now drilling (with TOT,I think) ? Is it just south of Kerema ? It is in fairly shallow water, I believe . Also, doesn't ppl 236 have some areas that extend westward into the gulf . Would be interesting to see,if anyone has the time to check out . Thanks . RE: Flinders #1 well - petrengr1 - 04-25-2013 Sageo- Have a look at: http://www.oilsearch.com/media/docs/1212%20MPI%20Conf%20-%20JF5-d9afda64-4bc8-49c7-aee0-77f1731310f3-0.pdf Pages 4 and 8. Also see http://www.oilsearch.com/Media/docs/1303%20Goldman%20Sachs%20Australasian%20Investment%20Forum-9b6c7804-aee2-459b-8a5e-948afc85ea37-0.pdf Pages 3, 28 and 29. Flinders-1 is a gas play in sandstone. It is not a reef. “Targeting gas in Plio-Pleistocene-age, submarine fan sands.” RE: Flinders #1 well - sageo - 04-25-2013 Pet - Thanks much ! Loads of good info for me to absorb . (btw, lots of excitement in our stock going on .....) Thank you again. RE: Flinders #1 well - petrengr1 - 04-25-2013 Sageo- To answer your other question, IOC has very little area that extends off shore. I think they gave up all of that to concentrate on the many on shore prospects that they have identified. See http://www.interoil.com/iocfiles/documents/investorrelations/presentationanddocuments/2013/2013-04-15%20IPAA%20Final.pdf page 9. PPL 236 has a little bit off shore but I don't think there is any intention at this time to drill any off shore wells. |
