RDS ans SA - ebster123 - 05-03-2013

More and more press today should be a good thing...

FROM SA:

6:23 PM  Shell (RDS.A) may have taken the lead - at least in the rumor mill - as the bidder most likely to succeed in winning a share of InterOil’s (IOC) LNG project in Papua New Guinea, Platt's reports. Shell’s perceived advantage over Exxon (XOM) and Total (TOT) centers on its existing relationship with the PNG government, strengthened by its ownership of emerging floating LNG technology

Slowly others are joining the viewing of this horse race which we at SHU have been watching for months and years. All the super majors have money at the windows and the need to invest, JKM has the clear need and incentive as well as the capacity to cash in on the race. I just figure it is going to be a combination of most of the above players when the horses cross the line.

Hopefullyat the wire IOC has maintained the ability to realize the benefits accrued from the difference between long term contracts and today's gas in the earth, or gets paid for that discounted future value.

For the time being I figure my time is better spent brewing beer and getting the garden fully planted. Watching this race is like waiting for this year's spinach to grow. It ain't no day at the track.
