BOD meeting - vidon - 05-20-2013
Has anybody confirmed the rumour of a BOD meeting this weekend? Chatter, but no definitive statement that I can find.
It would be unusual to have a BOD mtg and not anounce it in advance in some method.
I will certainly be looking for an =y anouncement Monday AM. if the mtg is confirmed.

The BOD meets many times throughout the year and they are seldom/never announced outside of the annual meeting. No different than most public companies. Out of these meetings sometimes you hear something most times you don't. There are rumors that they will be meeting the next couple of days, but to get a confirm is unusual.
Why would you expect something Monday AM even if they are meeting today? We'll get something when it is ready but it will likely be "like a thief in the night".

]Fair question, we have been told the discussions are in" final stages", it would take a BOD mtg to make formal approval of a sell down, it would be a material event and would neccesitate an anouncement . I know they are not required to announce immediately , but I would think they would want to tell the world that FINALLY we have a signed deal, rather than wait until they would be legally obligated to make a statement.
I would welcome the news any way they choose to make it public, thief in the night or blast the airwaves.

Well, we know from previous communications that they'll announce only when there is a signed contract (or contracts). For those that are getting impatient, I have a few observations:
- Pavel (RJ) argued there might very well be a winner already, but crossing all the legal t's and dotting the i's could take a while. They want to do it right, it's their most important decision in history, or something to that effect Pavel added
- It could be new players and/or new bids have entered post Feb 28, which, if true, is obviously a positive
- There seems to be a fair rally in the share price (on high volume, giving it added conviction) going on, suggesting either that the delay is caused by something positive (new bidders and/or bids) or that we're nearing the end of the process where there can be an announcement.
Use or flush, of course..
