Timing - ltinvest - 07-10-2013
I have oft been asked if I have any insight to the timing of a finalized deal with Exxon. My standard and honest reply has been I have a lousy track record predicting the timing of major IOC events. With that understanding, I have seen some anecdotal evidence as of late that makes me feel optimistic.

Just piecing some conversations together. Has anyone who speaks with Interoil management been able to reach them this week?

I have been unable to speak with Wayne Andrews this week, and have an appointment to speak next Monday. I know of another person who speaks with him more frequently who also is unable to speak with him. But that is only Wayne. Are there others here at SHU who speak with other Interoil management? Have you been able to speak with them? Please let us know, and if you don't feel comfortable giving names or any other details, that is fine.

FWIW Dept Several IOC execs have stated they were trying to announce the deal within the 60 day window.No promises.

The 60 day window has come and gone. I think the market is tired of theses "almost deals".

"InterOil's CFO and head of IR met with at least two of the company's biggest shareholders on their way to Asia this week. I was told they made an offer for the funds to sign NDA's and be temporarily restricted from trading in return for learning the terms of the SPA with XOM, implying the deal must basically be done and there's nothing left to negotiate. So it wouldn't surprise me if the big announcement is days or maybe a week or two away at most."
