PORT MORESBY, Papua New Guinea and HOUSTON, July 30, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- InterOil Corporation (IOC) (IOC), announces that it will release financial and operating results for the second quarter of 2013 after the market closes for trading on Monday, August 12, 2013 with full text of the news release and accompanying financials available on the company's website atwww.interoil.com. A conference call will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2013, at 7:30 a.m. Central (8:30 a.m. Eastern) to discuss the financial and operating results, as well as the company's outlook.
The conference call can be heard through a live audio web cast on the company's website atwww.interoil.com or accessed by dialing (904) 486-1090. A replay of the broadcast will be available soon afterwards on the website.

Beware the typical IOC earnings pattern. They run it up in anticipation of news. If the company tells us that talks are progressing well, the shorts will pound the crap out of the common post earnings call. Our new CEO might be able to break this trend.
FWIW, I expect NO NEWS on the CC other than hearing a new CEO's vision. Depending on the tone of the call I might be hedging with Sept. calls.

Quiet Periods page 7.
"To avoid the potential for selective disclosure or even the perception or appearance of selective disclosure, the
Corporation will observe quiet periods prior to quarterly earnings announcements or when material changes are pending.
Regular quiet periods will commence on the first day following the end of a quarter and end with the issuance of a news
release disclosing results for the quarter just ended."
Conference Call-(after the earnings release defined above) from Houston. Will Exxon be involved????? Is that to much to dream about??

You are absolutely right. My error. However, that seems like an awfully long period, and I don't get the sense the company necessarily has held to that strict policy. I wonder if they actually have a different policy in practice, or a more intense "quiet period" period.
