Entry Strategy? - admin - 08-01-2013 How about that one, as it makes more sense to me. With the publication of the deal finals we will:
We will also have deal metrics to value and discount. With that, and the above, and possibly new coverage, I think there will be quite a few institutional funds looking to enter or expand their positions, but that's just my 2c.. To all the people trying to play any 'spike': good luck to you! It's a little like groping in the dark, but as the latter, it can be exciting, although success not guaranteed.. RE: Entry Strategy? - cybersssss - 08-01-2013 Agreed. Once we have FID the inherent value will be unlocked. Based on the IRR the value will be much clearer and will establish a floor in the stock. God luck playing any swing up. My option 1 2 and 3 is hold or buy depending on what transpires. RE: Entry Strategy? - Optionray - 08-01-2013

No way I would be in IOC for 7+ years and miss out on that kind of run. Just think it is wise to take some profit off the table, based on the past 7 years - although this time could be different (I have sworn off being greedy). Everytime, and I do mean everytime I firmly believe that we are going to 200+, those darn shorts pull a quick one on us. Everyone I know personally has a limit order in to sell on the news announcement this time, call it fatigue or whatever, I can't help but think that is going put some pressure on the PPS at the 110-120 range in the next week or two. Hopefully the news is such it causes a short squeeze ---- No way will I be out of IOC when we run to 200+ RE: Entry Strategy? - admin - 08-01-2013 No problem with that at all, Option. Each has his/her own expectations and strategies, it's what makes a market. What I say above very much depends on deal details, but I have a feeling these will be satisfactory. IOC isn't as wildly undervalued as say NQ was half a year ago, but if the deal metrics don't disappoint substantially, I'm pretty sure there is considerable upside. And there are other things that could happen, especially once we have multiple rigs drilling. Perhaps we get our own plant, etc.. RE: Entry Strategy? - smeltman - 08-01-2013 My "Plan" (the 'best laid plans', lol...)
On announcement: 1. Be plain ole excited for 2.5 minutes (a bit longer if announcement comes after hours) 2. Read the official announcement. 3. Jump over to the SHU site and read all the new posts. (I open each thread as a seperate tab.) 4. When done, go back to the SHU IOC main page and 'refresh'. 5. Repeat steps3 & 4 until a lull in posting is reached. 6. Within the first hour of the market being open, sell-to-close some (~10%) of the IOC Calls I own and buy more shares. 7. Over the first week sell another 20% of the 2014 IOC Calls I own and use the funds to buy 2015 IOC calls. 8. Sign-up at the nearby Exotic car driving experience to do some laps in a Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Nissan GTR. 9. Sell the remainder of my Jan. 2014 Calls in Nov./Dec., splitting the cash 50/50 into shares and more 2015 IOC calls. 10. Continue to read SHU for years to come...
