Upstreamonline - ExxonMobil and InterOil locked in PNG talks - Resourcearb - 08-02-2013 Searancke's sources indicate that Shell is still trying to get involved in InterOil's project. This will certainly elicit speculation on Shell's next move after (or before?) the Exxon deal is announced. It is very encouraging that Exxon will be facing fierce competition for the first Gulf LNG train, even after it prevails in consummating its SPA with InterOil for a train at PNG LNG. http://www.upstreamonline.com/hardcopy/news/article1333536.ece ExxonMobil and InterOil locked in PNG talks By Russell Searancke Wellington 02 August 2013 00:00 GMT EXXONMOBIL and InterOil are fast approaching a deadline in their exclusive negotiations over gas supplies to the US giant’s Papua New Guinea liquefied natural gas project.
RE: Upstreamonline - ExxonMobil and InterOil locked in PNG talks - Tree - 08-02-2013 What's odd is this article is a re-hash of an earlier article Russell wrote 'Duma adds a Twist' with 2 additions: 1) expiration of talks this week - Don't think this is so 2) Shell waiting in wings if talks falter - We've not thought RDS had gone away XOM seeks more than 4.6 T's and that could cut RDS out of Gulf LNG for a year or 2 as more resource was proved up. RE: Upstreamonline - ExxonMobil and InterOil locked in PNG talks - Tree - 08-02-2013 "Shell subsequently held discussions with InterOil and was seen as the favourite to partner InterOil, but ExxonMobil prevailed." Link Russell?? What an idiotic printed statement. RE: Upstreamonline - ExxonMobil and InterOil locked in PNG talks - Palm - 08-02-2013 Nice article to counter yesterday's crap headline grabber by Duma. You can almost feel the blade dropping on the guillotine. |
