Very interesting. Also, I am glad that SA did it. Such work only hurts their reputation.

That's very interesting! I would guess STP had a hand in that also. I read through the Terms/Conditions on SA and wondered how it got approved in the first place. That will set this guy off. He has other forums he posts on, so I would guess he will be a maniac posting on those. And it's nice that Eric has befriended him; I'm sure that will help straighten the lad out. Maybe Eric can help him with tuition. Then again Colin's dad or brother is on faculty at ETU, so maybe that's a help.
He seems to have been pulled into the circle somehow.

When I went to see if his other Interoil articles where up, which they are, I realized I wrote his name wrong. That was an accident. I do not wish to be viewed as to lower myself to name calling, but I don't see how to edit it. STP if you read this please change the title to say Lokey instead of Lackey. Thanks.

It's ok Sam. Eric made the same mistake when he commented on the article(VS, I almost commented on Eric's slipup with your exact Freudian comment ) . If someone of his exceptional intelligence (his views)can mess up, you can be given a pass.

For the record, I didn't try to get him kicked off SA. I did make a formal complaint about this single article on the basis that:
- the info is years old, it seems curious to me to post this as any kind of 'revelation'
- it has already appeared on SA and he didn't add ANYTHING new to it (seems a clear violation to me..)
- he made baseless accusations against people complaining about this, rather than engage in civil discussion (has been removed but some of it can be seen at the IV board where someone clipped it)
I stand by this.
If this is ok, perhaps I'm going to rehash some old work (at least I will rehash my own stuff, rather than that of other people) on SA as well. In fact I was more defending the SA platform than InterOil, as I'm not at all worried that any of his info will do any harm as it didn't three years ago.
I didn't actually complain about the content, even if some of it seems rather iffy to me (active email address as 'proof' someone is working there, if that was true I resigned years later from university; Kaufman pumping being the reason for a share price rise, etc.)
But this too shall pass. If they don't have anything better and more recent..

The article was not actually pulled.
From me on the message board:
They apparently just had to create a second page for comments, and now the article has today's date! SA might even like having many comments, more exposure for them.
So much for "quality control".
There is a real need for more and better regulation. I wish IOC would take these crooks to court, like some companies have done, and done so successfully.
