Goldbaum Research = Seeking Alpha - vermut - 10-30-2013 I have very big suspicions that Goldbaum Research is one of the owners or at least a staff member of Seeking Alpha. It is the second time that my message was deleted from his article and I was warned that one more deletion will put me into a reading mode only. I have made posts to articles of many different posters on Seeking Alpha but Goldbaum Research is the only author who deleted my posts almost immediately. Here is what I wrote and then the reply from Seeking Alpha.
So instead of at least correcting the previous article by Goldbaum which indeed contains false information and can easily be used as a case in court (for me it qualifies as 100% defamatio) Seeking Alpha just removed my message without doing anything. Here is what they wrote to me. Seeking Alpha

Dear vermut12,
We wanted to let you know that we’ve deleted the post copied at the end of this email and explain why. It was deleted because it contains an allegation of bad faith against an author or another user. We welcome (or even encourage!) disagreement with the perspectives offered by others on the site. We ask, however, that you provide evidence to support your arguments for how and why you disagree, rather than impugning the author’s motivation. If you believe that there are serious problems with an article we encourage you to file a formal dispute here: http://seekingalpha.com/page/dispute_an_article?source=comdel . Arguments about intent inflame passions and seldom lead to civil, or useful, discussion. Please note that a history of multiple deletions can lead to your account being suspended or permanently set to Read-Only. Due to site volume, we regret that we cannot reverse deletions, but if your post did contain a substantive point, we encourage you to resubmit it without the material on account of which it was deleted. Users tell us that they appreciate the quality of the community on Seeking Alpha and that, unlike other forums or message boards, the site is largely free of spam, promotion, and offensive or abusive material. We'd love for you to join our efforts to maintain this standard or raise it further. Please see our guidelines for more information: http://seekingalpha.com/page/comment_guidelines?source=moddeletion Respectfully, Seeking Alpha Moderation Team
As I see it I provided a proof that what he is writing is wrong with a link. I also told them to go check the link in the previous article stating there was no partnership with ZTE and it would work.
RE: Goldbaum Research = Seeking Alpha - admin - 10-30-2013 Well, the moderation team cannot really fact check claims in articles or in comments (imagine the work involved), so they allow quite a lot as long as you attack the message, not the author. I think there isn't more than that, but that's just my opinion. I nothing but good experience with them. RE: Goldbaum Research = Seeking Alpha - thecrazykevy - 10-30-2013 I doubt it. Anyone can write an article on Seeking Alpha. That's because the site makes money from advertisments. So the more articles they publish, the more hits they get, and the more money they make. |
