- Petrovale - 03-13-2012 "Interoil could have found major oil discovery", lolol - Libtardius Maximus - 03-13-2012 Do you have a link? - Justin94360 - 03-13-2012 Petro, my broker rang me to say that message had come over the squark box - was whilst it was spiking a couple of dollars at a time so was a fun few minutes. Assume it is probably that they are into the top of the reservoir now and the news got hyped up a bit. - jft310 - 03-13-2012 I heard talk of possible oil yesterday. If I remember right there were oil shows during prior drilling. This weekend could be remarkable if true. - Petrovale - 03-13-2012 Folks, admitted, Benzinga is a bit sensitive to rumors. Some make sense, others don't. The other day, they quoted the SA article, encouraging people to sell and short. Today, perhaps, they quote from Phil's interview to PNG Industry News... Or, as JFT suggests, something else is going on. No matter what, I love rumors, especially when the PPS action is up. - admin - 03-13-2012 I hope we don't get a repeat of earlier episode of 'oil shows'. For good measure, 'oil shows' is by no means a guarantee of a commercial oil find. If true though, it's curious to be at the top of the reservoir. - Petrovale - 03-13-2012 Lib, sorry, Benzinga per Reuters only mentions the headline. Flyonthewall usually offers more text and insight. - ebster123 - 03-13-2012 This weekend could be remarkable but even better...MONDAY, after options expiration. Someone call NASA, we may need them to monitor the rapid rise in pps the beginning of next week
- petrengr1 - 03-13-2012 Please, let's not start this nonsense about oil again. I have confirmed that NO ONE at IOC thinks there is any oil in the carbonate at Triceratops. This is a gas field with an established gas/water contact. No oil!! - Palm - 03-13-2012 Agree; seems its been pretty clearly established that neither IOC believes nor seismics indicate black gold. I put little faith in flypaper-on-the-wall or Benzinga when it comes to rumors. Very few pan out to be anything. We should be satisfied with what we most likely have; another sizeable reef that has big potential for wet gas. Oil? Me thinks not. |
