MW at it again with a new piece - Mountainbiker - 11-07-2013

MW talking about YDT again quoting news from a Chinese writer. Old news, we read the new already.

I think he is losing his influence!!

A small drop. If the longs are strong enough after today's attack with YDT write up. We will be good to go higher in the days to come.

MW has no more bullet except quoting writers from China. Not his own research anymore. He relies on someone else and cut and paste. How low can he go?

I'm 95% sure there is something typical chinese about NQ and YTD's relationship.

However, even if Carson is right, it doesn't amount to anywhere near 72% fraud or 92% fraud. YTD only accounts for a portion of their Chinese revenue after all

Admin, do you think Matt will do any response to his new piece on YDT?

Don't know, not yet anyway

Carson Block definitely covered already. There was a flurry of put activity the day before the MW report came out, so my belief is he, along with those that use his service, went short via otm puts and immediately sold them for a 3 bagger when the report hit the market.

Block is now trying to maintain his stance to remain credible, so he can get the same influence on the market in 6 months, when he issues another strong sell on a different Chinese company.

I think you have a point. That's why he is quoting info from the Chinse writesr. MW has an office in Shanghai according to the info on website. His workers are working overtime to keep the so-called fraud going to stay alive.

Toro should be all over the YDT allegations (nothing new) after going to NQ and YDT office.  After signing the NDA I would think they could see the cash receipts from YDT to NQ.  The cash receipts tell the story.  Matt did mention that all recepits have been submitted to the independent auditor.  Either the auditor will point it out or Toro can mention that they have seen the receipts and the numbers add up.  Not everyone will believe Toro, but as many have see on SHU, Toro is a credible source and is doing more on the ground research than Carson....

We can all agree that the 90% number is out the window with the handset makers acknowledging their partnerships.  As Tradestar pointed out...even if YDT revenue is overstated from creative accounting (the incentive to raise the stock price and get more capital chearper: CB). The power of the buyback if used agressively as Matt has stated will be the difference.  Don't forget that Matt was a Goldman Sachs employee and created a firm that does equity research in China.  Matt understands the dynamics of a short squeeze and I am sure is lobbying the board with the best way to cause the most pain to the shorts.  Management is incentivised to get the price higher (Omar has big stock compensation).  Yes they would want to buy back the stock as cheap as possible for the long term capital management of the business, but I think Matt is fully aware that a large action must be taken to get the shorts out of the stock.

From now till earnings or the independent audit is released is just noise.  Daily trading is dominated by HFTs and what seems to be accumlation at different price points.  MW seems to be rehashing YDT which may be the only thing they can point to that they got right for the lawsuits that are on the way.  This may be their way of validating their "call."

Toro had already explained the role of YDT including the money flow of payments. MW's piece has no effect!
