E/A Option in Frame - Tree - 11-22-2013

Papua New Guinea producer Oil Search has suggested that the Elk-Antelope gas resources owned by InterOil could be developed as a separate liquefied natural gas project that could utilise the existing PNG LNG project’s infrastructure.

It was one of three scenarios that Oil Search suggested as alternatives for bringing about an expansion of the PNG LNG project, in which it is a co-owner.

The first scenario would see the P’nyang gas field being developed and/or the so-called “Hides upside” and/or other Highlands resources, but all three need further appraisal.

The second and third scenarios revolve around the Elk-Antelope resources in Block PRL 15, which InterOil is currently offering in a farm-out package to several supermajors, which are understood to include Exxon-Mobil, Shell and Total.

Oil Search said the outcome of the negotiations for Elk-Antelope gas is “of key importance” as a potential catalyst for a new train at PNG LNG.

There would be an option for gas from PRL 15 to either underpin a new train “through some form of integration into the PNG LNG project” or PRL 15 gas could be developed “independently of PNG LNG as a separate project that may still utilise existing PNG LNG infrastructure”.

InterOil said last week it is confident of closing a farm-out deal by the end of this year.

Oh Gosh... yes I am sure that OSE would like to participate in say 20K - 40K of GTL production.  After all... OSH has the infrasturcture.

Land me some more lines... I am starting to like you.

RE: E/A Option in Frame - Stavros - 11-22-2013

I'm still looking for IOC to provide gas for PNG Train#3 in return for a large equity position (XOM covets the gas and won't let it get away) and for IOC to partner with PNG plus one or more of the super majors on a Gulf-based LNG project (Governor Kavo covets the project and made it abundantly clear that he's happy it's coming.

To top it off, condensate produced in concert with the gas will be used by IOC as refinery feed to replace nearly $1 billion per year in crude oil purchases. Only minimal refinery modifications are required to process the condendate instead of the crude.

“independently of PNG LNG as a separate project that may still utilise existing PNG LNG infrastructure”.

Tuckerbik,

Humbling it is that a man named Rubik created a puzzle which contemporary's claimed was impossible to solve.

I wonder exactly what independent infrastructure from PNG LNG is in consideration for E/A.

Sigh, that sounds impossible....Hope there's enough smart guys to figure this out.
