From all that I can gather, and I can't beleive the huge amount of info that I can find, tells me Somare is going to back off the SC decision and O'Neill will be PM. I'm guessing here, but it will happen before the weekend.
I'm not a political analyst, but to me it makes sense. Somare appears to be unpopular, would be handcuffed by Parliament, is up there in years coming off severe health problems. Given all of this and the backlash that is coming his way from the populace, I cannot understand why he wouldn't just do the class thing, removing himself as PM.
