1 Billion divided by 50 million = 20 X 15 = 300 PPS - Optionray - 12-11-2013 Hey Ken, Is this what I can expect in 6 years when the plant comes on line? RE: 1 Billion divided by 50 million = 20 X 15 = 300 PPS - jft310 - 12-12-2013 Don't know enough of the numbers yet you may be close stavros would be a better person to ask RE: 1 Billion divided by 50 million = 20 X 15 = 300 PPS - ArtM72 - 12-12-2013 Ray - Is the 15 you are using the P/E ratio? Here's something that continues to stick in my craw. Everybody is ignoring inflation and discounting their and my sale price expectations by 10-15%/year while my brokerage bank is paying me a few tenths of a percent on my cash balance. Can someone tell me where other than my IOC shares I can get 10-15% return while retaining an inflation proof asset stored underground as security? 10-15% discounting of inflation proof assets just seems ridiculous to me. 5 seems a lot more reasonable. Yep, PE ratio. Agree with you on the "real" rate of return. RE: 1 Billion divided by 50 million = 20 X 15 = 300 PPS - ebster123 - 12-12-2013 JFT, you may think this but the market sure does not. This is pathetic. If investors must wait 5-6 years the time value of money, inflation, yearly ROI might be best suited at other places unless the pps drops to $30 again (I sure hope not!!) Take a look at the CLR chart. RE: 1 Billion divided by 50 million = 20 X 15 = 300 PPS - mikesioc - 12-12-2013 A decent small cap or technology mutual fund could return >10% over time. That doubles your money every 7 years. Depending on how its structured the accumulations and distributions could be tax free and creditor protected so you wouldn't have to keep it underground. RE: 1 Billion divided by 50 million = 20 X 15 = 300 PPS - Stavros - 12-12-2013 Thanks JFT for the endorsement Anadarko's P/E Ratio is 23+ In terms of discounting the sale price, most projects are discounted based on the Owner's "Weight Average Cost of Capital" which is roughly 9% these days. Also, in a few years IOC should have far more gas resources identified from the other pearls in the string. HOWEVER, I believe there's a measurable chance that IOC will be bought out sooner rather than later ... certainly when the delineation wells are evaluated and maybe before the deal with Total even closes. Most people in the industry realize that the PPS fall as a result of this stinker of a deal with Total doesn't accurately value IOC and the opening bid will be substantially higher than $150 per share. Gaffney Cline & Associates people who I know told me, based on the drilling information they've seen that's in the public domain, that there is most likely more than 10 TCF gas in E/A . It's been said that GCA's semi-public report said 2-3 more wells will enable them to recertify at the figures already estimated by GLJ. TIME WILL TELL RE: 1 Billion divided by 50 million = 20 X 15 = 300 PPS - ltinvest - 12-12-2013 Interesting thoughts on buy out stavros. Thank you for the GCA perspective. Seems everyone that knows what they're talking about believes E /A will be certified at equal to or better than GLJ current best case RE: 1 Billion divided by 50 million = 20 X 15 = 300 PPS - jft310 - 12-12-2013 Ah I knew Stavros could add value here . It's amazing what those in the industry know about Interoil. its well more than looking back at the reservoir engineering company reports and seeing 10 T type estmates this deal takes non monetized NG and Monetizes it with a 30 percent interest in an LNG plant its about 4 rigs drilling at the same time in early 2014 its about the hunt for the oil with this push and or build a huge LNG plant to start , larger than 2 trains its transformational in reality |
