What if - Dr. Wu - 12-13-2013

Big Horn (aka "Antelope Deep") are connected?...

RE: What if - Tree - 12-13-2013

Would make sense to refer to BigHorn as Antelope Deep I'd say then.
Who exactly refers to BigHorn as Antelope Deep, Dr . Wu??

RE: What if - Dr. Wu - 12-13-2013

internally it goes by either name.. Pet this might be up your alley at some point...

RE: What if - Spartina - 12-13-2013

wouldn't that mean it's the same damn structure? - another 5 or so t's to add the 10? (10 billion or so from from Total @ verification??)

Our fine Dr Wu, that would mean that it's within PRL15 and would be included in the definition of the "Antelope Field" per the SPA.  And if rumors of its being as big or bigger are true, that's a wad of TCFE subject to the $1.29/mcfe tier.

That is correct Palm.  Clearly a development we need to follow closely.  MH commented during the earnings call that he believes reefs like EA can become larger with additional appraisals - and Big Horn would fall right into this framework. The payoff of a large well here would be significant given the price scale, as you said. Worth the further geophysical analysis by one of our experts.

Must be what he meant by this?

"There is one exploration well, we get [indiscernible] and we’re quite frankly there is a very large prospect that we wish to test, and that is the major driver for us to pay around 15. And we were very keen there is a large prospect that could be it’s an exploration prospect obviously that could be of a similar or bigger size of Elk-Antelope. And we were very concerned that we got rewarded, if we made a discovery in that space. So it’s largely driven by that one prospect, a very large prospect that we’ve got and we will be – I am sure you can more about that in the future."

Must be.

Anyone looked at the language of the SPA to see how they define Elk/Antelope vs a "new discovery". I would imagine that TOTAL would argue vigorously that this new exploration well by definition is in the "bonus" arena ($100M per each tcfe above initial tcfe).

That definition has been posted a couple of times.  It's any structure within PRL 15 which is shown to have the same pressures, etc as EA; in other words, be in "communication with" Ant.  If so it is in the "Antelope Field" and would be included in the Antelope Field volumes.
