Size of LNG plant - Relker - 01-29-2014 Interoil has choosen not to be the operator of the LNG-plant. It is clear that the PNG government is behind this choice. They blocked the development with EWC and Mitsubishi. They said that this move was not in line with the Project Agreement. Does this mean that new projects outside PRL15 can be developed without a super major? The knowledge of building LNG plants is not the privat domain of the super majors. Most LNG plants are built by large engeneering firms like AirProducts. A significant trend is that the size of these LNG plants become larger which reduces the capex per mcf. During the roadshow MH spoke about a 2-train development with a total capacity amounting to 8 mta. With the new AP-X technology it is possible to build 1 train with 10 mta capacity. Total is building in its 3-train project in the north of Russia 16.5 mta. RE: Size of LNG plant - jft310 - 01-29-2014 Relker-Great ?? 's. |
