And while asset bubbles have recurred from time to time throughout history, bubble production has accelerated sharply. It is hard to believe many great pro athletes would have the imagination to ask for tens of millions of dollar contracts. It is hard for me to imagine developing algorithms operating with technology that trade profitably in milliseconds. That's what agents are for I suppose, to push well beyond historic norms. Doesn't mean of course that's good or bad or right or wrong. Just is. We have to deal with it or get trounced by it. |
