Any thoughts on the weakness since the sale - Rob Cos - 07-10-2014

Have not been following closely and then suddenly looked and see us back in the 58s  - lower than before the sale....any rumors, thoughts causing this besides market dip?

I think it's all because of the drilling. I believe investors were setup for walking away from Wahoo ....

not to mention NG in the US is down, and it appears storage numbers are setup to keep disappointing longs.

My2. I don't think NG prices in the US have much to do with global prices. If anything low US NG prices in the US are caused by high liquid prices. Much of US NG is leftover from mining condensates.

I think it's the wait for news and the elephant hunters are getting tired of waiting.

My2cows - Appears to be lots of disappointments at this point in time. Another one for me right now is how few shares our former Woodside guys hold . Would be happier if they had more 'skin in the game' .That would be a 'comfort' giver. My best to you and yours.

The constant lack of drilling news is a pps killer. Drifts lower every day on low volume.

The day the sale was announced (6/30) the stock was up $1.06 against the market. The slide started (-$3.94) the day of the AGM (6/24) with the update on drilling problems, which also happened to be a day when energy stocks in general were down badly. I would say the market and a correction in energy stocks, drilling concerns, a news delay and vacuum, short manipulation in conjunction with all that, and buyers keeping their powder dry so far, probably unjustified in large part for IOC itself, which the professional energy analysts consider very undervalued.

Will you please stop with the "short manipulation" please. They ran their race did OK and have moved on. Short selling is a short term game. IOC stock is for the investor that wants good TAX FREE income over time. A couple of million on a few stocks like that and life can be good even after you die.

No, I will not.  Market experts have recently cited here information indicating continuation of that, even if at a lower level, and I think I can see it myself.  Per Nasdaq, over six million short shares, still a very large number, have not "moved on", and it certainly has NOT been a "short term game" with IOC.  If management is not pursuing action against them, I think they are making a mistake.

"Life can be good even after you die." -- a quote that must live in infamy.
