what will happen if NQ get qualfied opinion? - gaosl11 - 07-12-2014

All things happened so far indicate NQ will not get nonqualfied opinion. While we still keep wish that things can turn around, i really hope some expert can give insight on what will happen if NQ get a qualfieid opinion?

"All things happened so far indicate NQ will not get nonqualfied opinion" LIKE WHAT?
What more would you "like" to happen? the stock is trading at cash value right now... I'm not sure your speculation is all that helpful.

things happened indicate NQ will not get non qualfied opinion:

1. PWC want expand scope of work, while NQ mentioned before they fully cooperate and provide anything auditor requires. which means after Nq provided everything, PWC still not feel enough

2. NQ is considering request, which is abnormal. actually it's first time I heard that a company can consider auditor's request

3. stock price is a indication that market lost confident NQ will get an non qualified opinion.

4. NQ is hiring guys for internal control which means there were some gap in the NQ internal process. if their process not following GAAP standard before that means they won't get non qualified opinion

I'm not trying to be helpful or know what will likely happen. just want get an idea of what qualified opinion means. I saw other people mentioned qualified opinion will not kick off delist process although it might means NQ's financial data is not trustful for the past. I'm long NQ because current and future business growth, while NQ's auditor opinion issue mostly an issue of past data(doesn't mean fraud, but might be incomplete). So I hope that even NQ get an qualfied opinion that would not be a disaster. that's why i hope someone can give me idea of what will happen.

"We are confident in our financials" reiterated by omar a couple days ago. Either he is the biggest clown on the planet or they really are confident in the financials. They deliberately had him quoted in saying it and after all this time he would know of they are getting a qualified opinion.

Also they are hiring likely per the recommendations of D&T to tighten up loose controls not because they are getting an qualified opinion

A qualified opinion would be saying the numbers can't be trusted yet they are still saying to trust them as recent as now.

The considering is presumably narrowing down what PWC wants.

The stock totally sucks, management/board included for allowing for this. That being said all things point to a non-qualified opinion (at some point) the stock cannot be trusted by anyone really and hence the stock price. Meaning no financials reported or 20-f, so the stock is susceptible to manipulation and panic.

seriously sell the stock and move on. When it's all clear you can buy it back.

I hope you realize that if NQ turn down PWC request to expand audit, PWC will issue a qualified opinion. To me that's not the end of world as long as NQ can correct their problem going forward. i just want to check anything i might missed regarding risk of it.

Why are we still under the impression that NQ has not given permission to expand the audit. In the Chinese interview of Henry Lin it reads :

"NetQin investor relations department pointed out that NetQin is working hard to complete the 2013 financial audit, and are finding ways to continue to expand their business network Qin. "

"NetQin will fully cooperate with the relevant audit work"

Unless it is poorly translated by Google then I do not think NQ is "considering" PwC's requests.

It's wise to prepare for this potential scenario it's as viable as any other outcome. I don't think it would be the end of the world either but the share price will take a hit. Hope everyone can live with that.

based on the dailog posted on YMB between Biotechwatcher and Kim Titus it seems NQ working hard with PWC while still considering request. Dialog happens after Lin's interview

With Kim Titus:

Q: Is the audit work ongoing?

A: Yes.

Q: What about the expanded scope of audit work?

A: No.

Q: Did Henry Linn say the 20f would be filed in November?

A: No. That was a translation problem. Linn said the next review date is mid-November. NQ has till May to file the 20f, but we are doing it as fast as possible.
