I'm confused - why would Hession have anything to share with Bernstein et al that is not disclosed to the public already?
Other than 'encouraging' investors of a specific fund/group, what purpose does this serve?
I may be getting testy, but, DISCLOSE THE DRILLING RESULTS/STATUS !!! Stop hiding behind the "Material Event" fig leaf !!!

Sept 2nd is an important day on Wall Street. First day back after a few weeks vaca.To get the attention of institutions Bernstein must feel they have something important to say. Easily can do a Presser over the weekend and answer question on Monday.

Dr. Wu, where did you get this information? Are you a Bernstein client? Is that Eastern time? Any more you can tell us about the nature of it?
Given Bernstein's initiation of coverage and the report they produced, if they requested the CEO do an interview for their advisors and/or clientele, how could he not agree? I doubt it is being set up to coincide with any particular IOC event or PR, but I guess it's possible, especially given how close it is.

grant: Perhaps for a purpose such as indicated above. The more exposure the Company gets on the "Street" and among the "investment community", especially such as in connection with firms like Bernstein, probably the better for us shareholders. Why would you think the Company is "hiding behind the 'Material Event' fig leaf? They just updated us on drilling status less than two weeks ago, and they cannot "disclose drilling results" until they have them, which were projected for third quarter (by September 30). Yeah, I would say you ARE "getting testy", and overly so, as impatient as I am for them as well. Hang in there!
