Raptor-1 Flares Gas and Condensate on Test
November 6, 2014
Singapore and Port Moresby — InterOil Corporation (NYSE: IOC) (POMSoX: IOC) today announced that gas and condensate have been recorded at surface and directed through the flare at the Raptor-1 exploration well site.
InterOil is continuing to test Raptor-1 and clean up the well.
The Raptor-1 well has been drilled to a measured depth of 4,032 metres below the rig rotary table. The flow test is being conducted over an interval of around 330 metres of open borehole which includes around 200 metres of Kapau limestone, the target reservoir.
The Raptor-1 well in PPL 475 is about 12km west of InterOil’s multi-trillion cubic feet Elk-Antelope gas field in the Gulf Province in Papua New Guinea.
InterOil holds a 65.208174% interest in Raptor-1 and is operator. Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp. (TSX
RE; BVC REC; BOVESPA REB) has a 12.903226% interest in the well and minority interests hold 21.8886%.
InterOil will keep the market informed of material developments.

RE: IOC PR: Raptor-1 Flares gas and condensate - jft310 - 11-06-2014 It's a discovery . So much for the dry hole talk. RE: IOC PR: Raptor-1 Flares gas and condensate - johnwgrant - 11-06-2014 Scant details. I'm guessing that they did the PR since the flaring of the gas would have been reported by jungle drum back to Port Moresby
RE: IOC PR: Raptor-1 Flares gas and condensate - jft310 - 11-06-2014 Per the Interoil maps part of Raptor extends into PRL-15 . Does that mean Total has some ownership, does Raptor communicate with other parts of PRL-15...??Lots of questions . RE: IOC PR: Raptor-1 Flares gas and condensate - Tusker - 11-06-2014

RE: IOC PR: Raptor-1 Flares gas and condensate - jft310 - 11-06-2014 Tusker -does that mean at the intersection we get 3 times the thickness ?? Just asking !! RE: IOC PR: Raptor-1 Flares gas and condensate - Tusker - 11-07-2014

Considering the total depth of Raptor and the total depth of Antelope, Antelope Deep looks to have a grinning face and a wink when she say's... come on over and see me sometime. Perhaps we will have a flair photo come CC. See/hear how wet this creature is. ;-)
RE: IOC PR: Raptor-1 Flares gas and condensate - johnwgrant - 11-07-2014 Trying to derive as much from the Press Release as I can... 1) Reservoir is Nat Gas + Condensate ... not oil ![]() 2) There is at least enough pressure to push the gas & condensate to the surface. Can we conclude this though? 3) The initial flow may be limited by all the mud/fluid pumped into the reservoir during managed-pressure drilling. Cleanup (acid treatment?) needed before good DST can be obtained. Thoughts... RE: IOC PR: Raptor-1 Flares gas and condensate - CAC - 11-07-2014 jft310 So much for the dry hole talk. ******* I expected to see $65 today. This is good news, correct? (at least compared to the alternative). Up less than a dollar on a whopping 55,000 shares traded? Let's be honest for a second....nobody, except for exisiting shareholders who are emotionally invested (including me), seems to care about this stock. I know many on this board are frustrated by MikesIOC and his constant calls for them to sell the company but it would at least create shareholder value. That never seems to come with any of the other supposed "catalysts". I waited 4 years for the "transformative deal'". When it came, the pps got slaughtered. Then it was..."yeah, but wait for drilling results". Okay, we got some today. Nothing definitive perhaps...but not a dry hole either...generally "good". And the pps does nothing. No increased volume even. How many "next events" are going to come and go and leave us unfulfiled? Can anybody say with confidence that a favorable arbitration ruling will move the pps...or that good Wahoo results (if we are lucky enough for that to occur) a year from now will definitely make the pps rise? Noooobody cares about this stock. It is very frustrating. |
