- maui4marko - 05-02-2012 >> Perhaps Phil or Dave have already given Grant Worner a call? From the May 2012 NGE corporate presentation: Drilling Rig Context - Unprecedented level of drilling activity - 8 wells in 2011 in the Western Province alone - Few (<5) suitable, available drilling rigs in PNG - Constrained drilling activity and high costs Mitigation - NGE a 50% JV partner owning a fit-for-purpose drilling rig optimised to move with a medium-lift helicopter in loads of less than four tons - Further strengthens NGE's strategic low cost operations advantage - Becomes an additional source of revenue when used by the broader PNG oil and gas industry - Getitrt2 - 05-02-2012 Per the Company, there are a lot more rigs available in the US now than when they were looking for Rig 3. I expect they will be getting another one. |
