Win/Win & Win/Win - Tree - 02-11-2015 Either outcome was rightly long claimed by covering analysts as a Win/Win for IOC. Although never mentioned, same was true for OSH whose pre-doomed attempt to pry pre-emptive rights from IOC/TOT transaction. Win/Win for OSH. What motivated OSH to launch the yr. long doomed battle (doomed, if one assumed IOC/TOT inside and outside council were competent) which surely has caused added expense, delay and drag on pps The reality may be in the best explanation I heard a year ago when OSH challenged TOT transaction. ...'OSH sold the OSH/PNG USB billion dollar PNG loan OSH stake sale (which funded OSH purchase of PacLNG PRL15 stake and was a WIN for shareholders) to OSH large shareholders by overstating to these large shareholders their chances in winning a pre-emptive rights and control of PRL15 (would be a bigger WIN). Legal challenge to IOC/TOT, however slim the odds, only a follow through commitment to OSH shareholders.' OSH won't challenge further, they have a WIN. TOT is full steam ahead and watch for them to now flood personel and operations to PNG. Some continue to mis-read TOT's legal standing, comittment and financial strength to E/A LNG by finding monsters where there are none. We whould be anguishing over standalone 2-4 trains and cutting a strond deal for PNG LNG feed. That is now what IOC/TOT/OSH will pursue. Another Win/Win.
RE: Win/Win & Win/Win - jft310 - 02-11-2015 Never forget tbe IOC BOD has incentivized Hession to sign a second LNG deal . Drilling to resume this year on Wahoo which is closest to Exxons needy PNGLNG plant . Why would the BOD do that if that didn't think it was more than possible . RE: Win/Win & Win/Win - Palm - 02-12-2015 Agree. When this Dispute was filed IOC and Total said they were confident that the deal would stand and they would prevail. OSH/Botten said the same and they were wrong. Now the IOC PR clearly states that the decision gives Total both access to PRL 15 and the JVOA. Botten picks at some technical points of execution and makes it sound like there are major hurdles for Total to execute in "transfers", etc. Who should we believe. I was told that Hession is now quite relaxed and "glad to have this behind us." He doesn't seem too be two concerned that things with the JVOA won't proceed as planned with Total. Could be the reported 'thousands' which have been working on this project and the consistent reports that the JVOA has been cooperating and contributing to the process of certification, scheme and site (from 24 LNG sites to a final 4) with site options down too 4 with final chosen Qto/15 is evidence that TOT/IOC knew the arbitration claim by OSH was CRAP and only to save face. BTW, It has been shared that Botten has 'tapped out' on his challenge options. Sleeper Hold or Arm Bar by Hession?? RE: Win/Win & Win/Win - Palm - 02-12-2015 The dreaded Sleeper Hold I fear RE: Win/Win & Win/Win - jft310 - 02-12-2015 The little guy with a Super Major in its corner beats the latest OSH nonsense . No stopping the certification now . Botten will give up now and concede IOC gets its project. OSH wins with the build even if it's a Total build. Cash flow is cash flow . Yet another important, positive, catalyst comes and goes as hoped, without a big pps increase. RE: Win/Win & Win/Win - ArtM72 - 02-12-2015 What is nice about the current state of affairs is that now IOC, OSH and TOT all have major defined interests in the rapid development of this project...not to mention O'Neill and PNG. It also doesn't hurt that OSH now has some cash and TOT has so much they have declared a special dividend. Maybe finally that ship of ours has finally turned and now is coming in towards port. The games are over. Let the work begin! RE: Win/Win & Win/Win - sageo - 02-12-2015

I wonder how Rex T. will respond to this recent result of the court's decision ? Xom is fully aware of the Wahoo situation (pretty much right next door), so maybe they should just "swallow their pride" and buy the ppl lease that contains Wahoo . [ it sure is a heck-of-a lot closer to them than P'nyang] and would sure be a lot cheaper to develop. Yeah,I know, MH would not want to sell, but why couldn't a JV be worked out ? Also, there are many other good prospects that are located in that same ppl. ( just some more" out-loud" thinking.......for fun). [ while we "never ending" wait ! ] RE: Win/Win & Win/Win - jft310 - 02-12-2015 CAC - my opinion the move you want in the price per share will happen with receipt of the Total dollars . That receipt using the "de novo "(RJ term ) approach will surprise some with the size estimates . Or what did Henry Aldorf know in 2009 on the UTUBE video about E/A size ?? the CEO of Marathon knew something .. One solution buy more now , wait the required time and sell your higher priced shares capture the tax loss . Use that loss up later . Just a thought . |
