- admin - 05-14-2012 You might wanna have a look at it. It's heavily pumped by the people (Lebed and the "national inflation association") that pumped Broadvision (BVSN) from $8 to $50+ (now back to the teens, by the way), but unlike BVSN, SYNC is a real growing company and the stock is back at the levels where they started pumping earlier this month. Unlike BVSN, SYNC has real revenue and earnings momentum and if you can pump BVSN five-fold with declining sales and increasing losses, some kind of lift-off might very well happen with SYNC. At 1,5 times sales, it isn't even that expensive. But do your own DD, this is only a suggestion. It's certainly not for the faint of heart. But the company is really of a totally different kind than their previous pump (BVSN). - admin - 05-14-2012 Well, it's rebounding 10% at the moment.. - admin - 05-15-2012 Well, in the end it rebounded 14% today, in an otherwise pretty bad day. While further increases are by no means impossible, we wouldn't get in anymore right now. RE: Synacor (SYNC) - admin - 07-07-2012 Well, you have to give it to this Lebed guy, on a bleak day, they manage to get this to an all-time high through relentless promotion RE: Synacor (SYNC) - admin - 07-08-2012 Certainly got the ball rolling at the moment: Synacor's TV Everywhere Platform to Serve As an Authentication Agent for Olympic Streaming Dish, Charter Among 35 Distributors to Use Vendor's Device to Verify MSNBC, CNBC Subs, So They Can Access Games Content Mike Reynolds -- Multichannel News, 7/5/2012 4:31:40 PM Synacor Inc.'s TV Everywhere Platform is serving as the authentication device for almost 40 video distributors of NBCUniversal's coverage of the 2012 Summer Olympics. RE: Synacor (SYNC) - admin - 07-09-2012 Up another 12% this morning, after a couple of minutes of trading. Amazing. RE: Synacor (SYNC) - admin - 07-11-2012 Up to a whopping $18 this morning, then fell to $15 and a bit (NIA unloading?) If you're interested we have some research reports on the company (see attachment). RE: Synacor (SYNC) - Petrovale - 07-11-2012 Citigroup commented, "Synacor is up meaningfully over the past month, which we attribute to retail investor interest in TV Everywhere. We don't see any fundamental reason to support the current valuation – which is at a meaningful premium to peers – so we're downgrading to Sell. We maintain our $15.50 target price." RE: Synacor (SYNC) - admin - 07-11-2012 Interesting, thanks for that Petro. The analysts I have reports from all have a $10 target, so City is meaningfully higher. Quite a day though, fluctuating between $13.44 and $18 so far. I also had an article out this morning. I would regard everything above $10 as the 'NIA premium,' but with City's target at $15 (where it's trading now), that's perhaps a little conservative. RE: Synacor (SYNC) - admin - 08-15-2012 ["Citigroup commented, "Synacor is up meaningfully over the past month, which we attribute to retail investor interest in TV Everywhere. This seems a good trading opportunity to me. What's not in doubt that the company is real and is growing pretty fast, with Citygroup having a $15.5 target on them, it would be surprising if the shares didn't get back to $9-10 at least. |
