The postponement of the LNG Canada final investment decision from April until the end of the year and hold-ups in first shipments from Sabine Pass in the US and Gorgon in Australia will benefit the industry overall and stop cargo dumping while helping prices to recover.

The building delay at Chevron's Wheatstone LNG in Australia will also help medium-term volume reduction as will the delay in Magnolia LNG signing supply agreements in the current climate of crashed energy markets
