In October Japan utilities used 9.1% more LNG than a year ago. Very thirsty country.
Japan: Utilities October LNG Usage Climbs YoY
The ten regional electric power companies in Japan consumed 4.26 million tonnes of LNG in October, a rise of 9.1 percent compared with 3.9 million tonnes a year earlier, according to the Federation of Electric Power Companies of Japan (FEPC).
The power companies received 4.48 million tonnes of LNG in September, down 14.7 percent on year.
The companies consumed 4.5 million tonnes of LNG in September.
Power companies account for two-thirds of total Japanese LNG imports.
