FWIW.....take a look at two time periods

1) 3/30/12-5/14/12

2)12/10/12-1/23/13

The first period:

duration was 45 days and culminated with volume on 5/14/12 of 2,159,000 shares traded and a spread of $7.41 from hi to low that day.

The second period:

duration was 44 days and culminated with volume on 1/23/13 of 2,218,000 shares traded and a spread of $6.40 from hi to low that day.

I find it interesting for several reasons.......but my greatest interest is what happened following the 5/14 low........IOC appreciated rapidly over the coming weeks and eventually closed at over $92 per share (with no deal).
